I just wired up some new lights on the ARB, so yes...another black KJ with Hella 500's. It's time to get that lift, tires, and rock rails. Moving on up in 2009.

Looks good! I noticed they make 2 types of Hella 500's; one for driving and one for fog. Which one do you have and do you happen to know the difference between the two?

Does that ARB not make your front end sag? or do you have upgraded spring?

I know! I know! I need to get rid of the OEM suspension. I'm on stock suspension as of now. I measured before and after the ARB was put on and lost about a 1/4" in height. It looks even lower due to the crappy chrome step tubes that came with it when I purchased the Jeep (they will be replaced soon enough with some proper Boulder bars). The Jeep has 19,000 miles on the original suspension so I am definitely upgrading the suspension this Spring to a Franky. Since I bought the Libby a little less than a year ago, I had a plan to upgrade the suspension and get rid of the junk Wrangler meats, and stamped rims. I'd like to start to get into the woods this year and do some real wheeling upstate NY, since up until now I have really only been to the beach a bunch on Fire Island. I've really enjoyed this vehicle so far, and have learned a wealth of information from LOST and look forward to building it up the right way from all the knowledge you guys/gals have collectively. I know everyone and their grandmothers have Hella 500s, so no big deal...but they are cheap ($40) and provide a decent amount of additional lighting. The Hellas I bought are the driving lights which have a narrower beam angle than the fogs, and throw quite a good distance. Cheers- Jeff
