After I lifted the KJ I noticed that I have slight contact/clearance issues between the upper a-arm and the coil spring at full droop. Is this a major issue, if so I know I will just pop for a set of JBA's arms. What should I be aware of???

What lift do you have?

If the little boot on the upper a arm is hitting the spring it will rip and allow the joint to fail sooner than it normally would(ha, I said normally).

Al's arms may not totally eliminate the contact depending on how much droop you are getting. They will not fail like the stockers will since the boot isnt hitting and you can grease them anyway..

Please don't beat me up over this, but it's the Rusty's OTT kit. I searched an see where many people just used rubber bump pads mounted to the lower strut where the contact area is. How good has this worked out for those who took this approach? I think I will try this 1st, and then maybe some limiting straps if thats not good enough. I will be getting full assembled Frankenlift struts before to long anyway. So it only has to be a temporary solution.

It's going to be real hard to make something that will stay where you want it if you are hitting that bad, will want to pull it off everytime you flex out.
JBA arms would help you some or since you are getting a Franky may just have to wait and try and not tear everything up

Nah, it's not that bad, not like there is popping and binding sounds from the contact when I went trail riding the other day. Actually drives pretty good and like the ride. I know others have had issues with OTT kits and I wasn't fully aware of all of them until after I bought this. But it will serve it's purpose for me to get some wheeling time in and a feel for the KJ offroad before I commit to the Frankenlift. I am just gonna keep the stock rears with spacers.
