With a 2.5 lift can I go to 265 tires and not rub? I will not be rock climbing or anything like that. Most of my driving is on flat road and offroad is mainly dirt roads and mud.

They will rub. You can make them work if you're not concerned over some "reshaping" of the wheel well.

I have a 2.5" lift with 245/75-16s and they rub sometimes. If you beat the pinch weld down and trim the fender liner in front of the tire you might get 265s on. By the way, what part of SE TX are you from? Welcome to lost!

MY 255's rub with a 3/8" clevis and 2.5 inch lift on my prelowered '02 sport. 265s are bit wider so I would expect rubbing. Remove the fender liners and spray some bedliner in there to protect everything. Wheelspacers or less back spacing on the wheels will help as well...
