so 245/70 r16 has no rubbing issues?

I run the Firestone Destination A/Ts in this size and the only (slight) rubbing I have had is at full left lock under deflection. Great tire on road in good and bad weather and a good tire for the little off-roading I have done.

You already have a good set of winter studded tires, so winter isn't really a big concern. If it was I would say the TA KOs, just because a AT tire will be better on winter highways than a MT. But, this isn't the case. Go for the KM2, you will love it, I'm sure! Or, wait a week or 2 and I can tell you about mine, I'm getting them today with any luck!

Well I (hopefully) will get them tonight. If so, then you can expect a few hundred km of highway driving, about a hundred km of city, and some muddy fire roads, all before Monday :)

Firstone dealers also carry the Fuzion XTi's. I run the 245/65/17's on mine with no rub and they work great and are lasting forever. Not a very strong sidewall so if you are offroading a lot maybe look at something else but for daily driver with a nice grip I like them. BTW, if you can swing it, buy 5 tires and get into the habit of a 5 tire rotation. You will get 20% more life out of your tires that way.

I did the math on that a while back and figured that the money saved on the extra life of the tires, and the cost of the 5th tire balance out. You are getting more life of your tires, but by the time you need to get new ones, you have 5 worn tires, not 4. In the long run it seems more expensive...

Yah, its my DD. My commute is about 50/50 highway depending on what way I go. On average the wife and I share the commute, so were looking at 60km+ round trip each day. Thankfully thats changed though, I carpool with someone at my office mon and thur, and work at home fri, so I only hvae the 60km commite twice a week, the rest of the week its a 30km round trip I believe (haven't measured distance fro the house to the wifes work yet). We do a lot of weekend road trips, visiting family, etc, so we get a lot of mileage no matter what....

They will beat the pants of those firestone at tires for sure! I've seen them go through some crazy stuff on a few tjs and the likes, and as I said, in north nova scotia, its all I saw on the road after a storm

I am going to ask firestone about the Fuzion XRI's when I go, but they are doing 25% off on 4 (and 5) Destination AT's. Might be worth the couple extra bucks to go with the destination's discount vs the XRi's. Will see soon. thinking 255/70 17 with 2.5 lift and 1.25 spacers.
