Whatever lift works for you...use it and enjoy it. It is not that big a deal. If it works and is safe in the area that you drive, that's fine.
We all just want to learn from one another's experiences so performance and safety information is important. Once we have that we can all decide
for ourselves which is best.

...I hear ya, just like tires, not everyone needs BFG Moabs or Super Swampers,...sometimes a good all-terrain works just fine.

Just look in the lift section. Lots of locked threads there about them  .

Just kidding!!!!

It's a budget lift that has stirred some heated debates. It really comes down to personal preference, budget, where you will drive, etc. Obviously there are drastically different opinions about them. Rocks have been thrown, mud has been slung (and not in the good way like from your tires), chaos and anarchy ruled, libelous and slanderous statements were made, much passion was expressed. You get the idea.
