Going out for all-you-can-eat crablegs tonight. Let's see, what drink goes with 62 pounds of crabmeat? Nothing heavy. I don't think beer will do...takes up too much valuable crableg storage space. Rum and Coke? Maybe. I think a Gin Buck (Gin and Ginger Ale) might go better though.

HOLY CRAP AM I JEALOUS!! 8)

Sounds like the decision I make when I go for all-you-can-eat sushi (at an actual sushi bar, not some lameass buffet place). I always go for a glass of water and a hot saki just to cleanse the pallet. Keeps all the room for actual raw fish!! MMmmmm mmm!!

speaking of R&C....sure could go for one of those!.....or seven....

Mmmmmm, sushi. I'm going to have to find an AYCE sushi place. I haven't seen one of those around here. But, living at the junction between the Chesapeake Bay and Atl Ocean, we have LOT of AYCE seafood places. It's local fresh oyster season too. We get those at least once a week, but tonight...CRABLEGS!!

What time is it? 4:44PM (Eastern). I'll be stuffing my face in 1 hour and 16 minutes. Might have to have a drink in between now and then though.

I don't even remember how why I signed up but they give cool b-day presents. Maybe google Makers Mark ambasadors (sp). This year they sent wrapping paper that had snowflakes made from bottles, bottle shaped gift tags.

I just purchased a '06 Rubicon out of Tennessee with 11,000 on the odo. I went with a '06 because I am turning this Wrangler into a Brute. Reason being, I need a cool / fun parts runner. I had been thinking about a new 4x4 Chevy Colorado Z / 71 but that would just be another boring pickup. Anyway, the Brute project will be ready by spring.

As for my KJ, and LOST - I am selling the KJ to a uncle who lives in the Ilinois area. I will let him know about the LOST forums here. He is a great guy, a young age 50, is an avid fly fisherman, and cruises one bad*** boat on Lake Michigan. Anyway, as for those of you here I interacted with, I've enjoyed it - even if I haven't had the chance to meet you in person.

All the best,
- CrossBones.

Please stick around and share your build stories, etc. w/ the group. The Wrangler section needs the input!

Just start kicking people in the junk till you find everything. After the first few swift kicks people will start helping you look. Or at least getting a close up look of what's under the couch.

That sucks about loosing stuff. I am really absent minded and since I don't work anymore I have seen it get worse. I know how you feel though. I lost my phone last night.

I gave it too the cat so he could play a game while me and the wife were cuddling. When she got up the phone was gone. And the cat was still there. I thought my wife took it then I realized the cat was probally sitting on it. Tried moving the cat and got bit. So now it's a game to the cat to bite me everytime I move my hand to try and move him. Finally got the cat moved after a few bite marks and a little blood. No phone.... Back to questioning my wife in the mean time the cat has moved back to the same spot. Now I'm starting to get a little frustrated cause I knew that phone was right there. So I start searching the cushions only to start the "Bite the Crap out of my hand" game with the cat again. A few more nibbles and a little more blood I get the cat moved again. Still no phone. So now I'm checking under the cushions while checking one the cat moved back to the original spot. darn it my hand can't take too many more good bites. So back to the "lets see if I can draw more blood from dad" game with the cat to check the other cushion. I lift up the cushion no phone. Set the cushion back down and there it is stuck right inbetween the cushion and the couch where my hand just was. Right before the bleeding. By this point the cat is done with the games and is now in "I will rip your hand off and shred the stump your about to pull back" mode. But I needed my phone. I was able to use my stoned sloth like reflexes to retrive my phone and this time came away with no additional blood lose. So the moral of the story is don't let the cat play with your phone.

I know how you feel. I herniated a disc in my back twisting and bending to get clothes out of the hamper!

In reality my surgeon said that I probably wrecked it skiing or mountain biking and by twisting in just the wrong way, I pushed it past the tolerance point.

Glad to hear your on the mend!!

It's crazy, isn't it? :( I have to be careful in general anyway - diagnosed lax ligaments... which pretty much means I'm prone to stuff like this. :?

They talking surgery for your back, or just PT?

Did the whole PT, Cortizone shots, Meds thing and got some relief. After about 3 years of trying everthing short of surgery I finally just told them to do the Laminectomy. That was several years ago. In fact it was when they first started doing them using microscopy. 14 day recovery time instead of 3 months. However, I have to be careful with activities that are impact intensive though since I am basically running on a flat. Alas, no more mountain biking or skiing. Still its better than being in constant pain any day.

What is it about March & knees?

I go in 3/25 to re-fix the MCL in my right knee. I had it done in '92 & it is failing again. This is surgery #3 on this knee, the first being in the dark ages of '83. I may have to borrow my dad's Buick (shudder) as my KJ is a stick and I don't know if I can drive it after the operation. My wife had her ACL done ( they put a dead guy's ligament in) & she can't drive a stick right now, so we can't just switch cars.

All of my projects have been on hold as my dad's heart quit on him earlier this year. After 3 weeks in the hospital, he has a fancy new defribillator running his heart. 10 more days in a rehab center & he is ready to come home. So, he has been banned from driving, making the Buick available if I have to go this route.

Maybe during this month people do too much "March-ing". . .

That was bad but it's all I got today. Just got home from a crazy night at work. Maybe I'll be more witty after decompression takes place.

I don't know how old any of you are but if you're young (under 40)... just wait, it gets even better. :(

Unfortunately, to reach the age of 40 the car would have to be in reverse.

I had really assumed that some jealous husband would have killed me by now and I would not have to suffer for the tortures I put my body through during my younger days. Crap. Can't count on anything nowadays....

So the motor on my XJ started knocking and exactly 5 days later the transmisison on the van decided that it didn't want to work anymore.

Oh and yes this is the van I traded my KJ on that never had any issues (except the ones I caused).

You know something funny... In 5 months of owning the van it's broken down and been in the shop 4 times now. It's had more money thrown at it in 5 months than I've spent on my XJ in 2 years. (up untill the motor blew). Stupid ford's.
