IIRC I was somewhere around 23-24" front and rear center hub to flare. Maybe 22.75", can't remember but I'll get exact ones tomorrow afternoon.

There is a fair amount of clearance in the front because of the bumper and pounding the pinch weld with a bfh. TJKJ is right i think when he says more lift actually gives you less clearance to the front of the rear fender area because you control arms push down in an arc pulling the tire closer. So more lift may not necessary be the solution.

icarl, do you have the Medium duty springs or the Heavy duty springs?

What does the franky use in the rear? Is it just OME HD coils?

I have the same as you (Franky II). Oh, if that front number seems low it could be there is a difference from where we are measuring to since i have lots of height and clearance in the front. Also my fender flare is kind of loose on that side so maybe i will measure the other side next time i am on flat ground. But measuring from the pinch weld i know that when i first put on the franky the difference was almost 4" from pre-lowered springs and then it settled to about 3.25" before bumper and winch.

I just looked at your blogspot inc. You're flares are totally different then mine. No wonder your numbers are that much different.

Icarl, you may want to consider adding the CRD coils to the front to regain some lift. All the cool kids are doing it, so I might also.

I don't have to. I have plenty of lift in the front. I can even run tire chains.

How are my fenders different? The fake plastic rivets? They are the same height from tire to fender on stock as a sport or limited though. The only difference is cosmetic.

I quickly remeasured after I got my jeep back and am sitting just under 23" front and rear.

They do look different than mine too me. But yours should sit a little higher because you don't have an arb and a winch. What we need is someone with an arb and a winch to chime in here.

I used my chains again today. They do rub if you drive too fast or turn the steering very far but they are loads of fun and i could drive through crap that i would have to be winched out of. I'm thinking i may do some creative fender mods to the front and rear to try to get more clearance. Anybody do this?

Well I am running steel front and rears and still have 4" of lift, not sure why you're so low. Even with the winch and ARB you shouldn't be at 20" from hub to flare. Did you say if you were running a Premo Franky II with Medium or HD coils?

Tubes are not that heavy.

The bumper is 98 pounds, the hi lift is 30 pounds, the tire is 47 pounds and the wheel is about 25. You can figure if that is heavy for yourself and it is a whole lot heavier than the plastic stock one icarl is running. .

idk why the measurements are so different but i can tell you there is no shortage of lift in the front. It was the rear that i had to add 3 isos to, to try and clear the tires. Are you measuring from the center of the hub or from the bottom of the hub to the bottom of the flare?

Center hub to bottom of flare directly above the hub. Maybe they accidentally gave you Medium springs for the rear. :?
