OK, Little "OFF TOPIC" I realize, but,

My Optima Yellow top Battery Just up and died on me Thursday night.... We were driving around going to quite a few places, started fine all the time, gave no indication that it was low, then, we came out of another shop, and NOTHING, even with my jump start pack... Lucky we got a jumpstart from a nice guy walking by.

Waiting for the report from the place I bought it from. They have never seen one fail. well.... until now..

a failed yelow top - sounds interesting, my red top used to lose charge in 3 days without use, no problem could be found but it kept hapening when usiing the car but fine when stainonary . replaced with agm(amg, gam - its been a long day and waling down to the car is not hapening - just like spelling ) But I did some digging and the problem was, I think, down to overheating the cells breaking everything down. now to sleep.....

my battery died last thursday Cmohr and it also looks like Jeep use re-badged Optimas in the CRD (800 CCA, 45Ahr).

Just spoke with the supplier, they are replacing it, just making sure I get the same type, some talk of they don't have one at the moment or something?????

Sooooo, they don't have a Yellow top to give me so they want to give me a Blue one, which, they say is exactly the same, but, badged for Marine. Hmmmmmmmm.........

Yes, they are exactly the same, but the marine versions cost less.....go figure.

google it and you have a choice of hundreds ...... I just used www.zend2.com to post this so it works

never liked big brother, the boss or petty restrictions - if people are happy at work they do a good job and don;t waste time or money...

an example - my neighbour is a pilot for virgin... they had there conditions changed a year or so ago, the response, use the loud handle more, its amazing how much more or less very expensive fuel a plane uses depending on how happy or sad a pilot is - apparently :lol:
