So I want to throw mud, I want to be able to paint the side of my Jeep with it. When I got the KM2s I tore off the mud flaps, and yah that made a nice difference. But not enough! A buddy I was wheeling with in a TJ pointed out my tires are pretty well hidden by my fenders, and I need them to stick out before I ever can pain my sides like him. He told me with his 3.7" of back spacing he sticks out almost 2", of course, it all depends on the fenders, and I would need ALOT of BS to stick out 2". I believe we have 5" of BS on the liberty, so can I go to 3.75" and push my KM2s out 2.25"? How much trimming would be required to do this?

Stick with the OEM rims till you get a lift,going with less BS will cause some bad rubbing without a lift.When lifted I'd advise no less/more then 4"-4.5" BS on a 7" rim and no less/more then 4.5"-5" of BS for a 8" rim,your fender flares will be happy.

Any idea how far out past the flais I would stick out with 4" of BS, once lifted of course? Why wait till lift BTW, less rubbing on suspension?

never heard of anyone WANTING the tires to stick out more, you will have all kinds of rubbing on the pinch weld , front bumper, flares, everywhere,

With what size tires? With my 265's my tires stick out maybe 1" past the flares with 4.5" BS 16x7 rims.

I put on 15x7 with 4" BS and slightly smaller diameter than stock tires. Rubbed like crazy. Tom and TJ tried to warn me. But it just made me get a lift ASAP. Now I am happily 2.5" taller from Daystar. Trimmed front fenders, pounded pinch weld, And running 31x10.50s with no rubbing whatsoever. Tires stick out maybe an inch at the top of the fenders. But 3+ at the bottom of the doors.

ah I see... you want wider tires so you can get it dirty... lol. I have some pretty wide tires and yes they do throw mud. As it is easier to throw mud it is the same way for rocks... lots of them .

So you want to hack up your paint by throwing rocks and mud down the sides all the time. My buddy's truck has wheels w/ too little backspacing and he can wash it and take it for a drive and it looks like garbage and has plenty of rock chips down the side.

Here is what i install on my libby ,KM2 on Pro Comp Black Rock 15x8.
4,75 BS. It's very thight on the front, there is almost no space between the brake and the wheels, but no rubbing at all


Decide to do a real trimming ,just to make sure there will be NO rubbing on the front
