I've been in Colorado now for about 9 years (on and off) and I have yet to see any big horn sheep.

I'm a lowlander that lives in Kansas City, and I've come across a group of big horns three times in my visits to your beautiful state in just the past handful of years. I've run across them early in the morning during the summer alongside C-14 between Ft. Collins and Walden or out in the middle of nowhere while camping in December by Wilkerson Pass West of Woodland Park and Divide. Just get out away from high volumes of people but in a location where steep mountainsides are around and then keep your eyes open. Gotta enjoy the wildlife.
Oh, and for the record,
every single time I've seen big horns, I've been on or in a motorized vehicle. In my personal opinion, motorized vehicles do NOT cause wildlife to leave an area as some people in the media like to portray. And thus, portions, but not all, of our public lands should remain open to motorized vehicles in my opinion.
