sorry to burst your bubble, but you will only get to 113 to 115 while using the engine to power the KK. It will cut the fuel. I know  ... Now if you had a really big hill....

The 6 speed has most of 6th left at 115

I feel most drivers can safly drive at 110 to 120 with no issues.
but once you get past 130 people need a bit more training...

I've been to 160 on and off a track, so you have nothing to worry about

Eh, not really busting my bubble just wanted to see what's possible ... I didn't think it would make it to 120 but when I hit 110 it seemed like it had more to go but I let off (exit was coming up)

Th eonly times I hit above 120 is in Germany...
No need to worry about tickets when I travel.....

Fastest i drive on track was 80. but it was laguna Seca in my pick up truck.
Those are fun day....

Well a KK going past 113 is not needed. I would hate to see the mpg at 113 for 2 hours of driving...

My runs to 160 were in a Viper ... The track run was in a GTS and the street run was in a newer SRT-10

Here was a quick run on the highway ... I had to let up due to my exit approaching but it did seem like the truck had a lot more to go ... I'll try another run before the weekend is up

Like I said, the 6 speed has 3000+ rpm left when you hit the limiter... as for the 4 speed, you only have about 1500 rpm left of usable power

I should be able to get a good run in the morning ... I'll post a pic of that and see what I can get to.

Ok ya'll,

With the ginormous uConnect rearview mirror, there really aren't too many options so I too wound up mounting my V1 via suction cups to the windshield and below the mirror:

While my KK was at the dealer earlier this past week taking care of a few items, I had them run the hard-wire cable for me up through the A-pillar and headliner and drop out by the rearview mirror. Saved me a little hassle.

Here's where I decided to mount the V1 remote display:

which required drilling a hole in the instrument cluster bezel. Big thanks to Digger for his How To's for both Dash Disassemble and Dash Bezel Disassemble. These helped me big time diassemble everything I needed to drill the instrument cluster bezel, route the wiring and tap into the 12V power (aka cigaratte lighter style) socket back side.

Digger, that is scary  I know how much people on the Front Range drive getting anywhere and going places and other than the past two weeks, I've only been able to drive my KK on the weekends since I've been out of town on pesky work so much during the week.

I posted info last weekend on a mod I did then (Retrofit Cabin Air Filtration System) and just now posted info on the mod I did this weekend....a trend I know I won't be able to sustain......Although by this time next weekend I should be able to post on another mod -- this time one I had done (and no it isn't my JBA lift kit -- I've been waiting on an email back from Marlin to get that on order). After these interior mods, I'll be ready to get the JBA 2.5" lift installed and then go for some larger shoes and aftermarket wheels. Then I need to figure out how I'm gonna get some "full" rock rail sliders before OJS in July.....

On a deserted highway I'd be complete comfortable going 110, but I don't think I'd be snapping pictures of my dash...

Yikes, I guess I better back off a bit since I have almost 18K on mine since March of 08  .

She's just so much fun to drive, we take the KK everywhere we go. Plus the only other option would be to drive the wife's Compass  and I drive 250 miles a week just to and from work.

You guys are wasting your time on these radar detectors....

They are moving over to more sophisticated laser models, which you can't detect until they pull the trigger on them, then its too late...

True, but not all Jurisdictions are going to be able to afford to upgrade to the new “guns” right away. So question is how many tickets you can avoid before they change out to the new system. Based on the way the tickets are priced now a day’s one missed ticket would almost pay for the detector.

Much of the time my radar/laser detector saves me is when someone ahead of me get checked. There are some instances where I've known a speed trap was coming 1/4 mile away. Yes, if no one had been in front of me, then there is no detection device in the world to protect against fast-trigger, instant-on type speed checking devices. That is where smart driving comes in and using the traffic, terrain and conditions to your maximum advantage -- or just slow down to at or below the speed limit.

I have posted on here somewhere of the KJ CRD doing 207kph near Bitburg Germany. Also my avatar shoes me getting ready to get on the Nuerburgring with the KJ, 11:52 with about 350 cars on the track that day. I think there is a 10:40 in it still. But I am in the US now and the race car, wife and dog stayed in Germany.

BTW I just did a 1000 mile trip and never got a ticket, it just seems that no one cares anymore. Driving will never be safe as long as they keep giving licenses away and not making people EARN them. if I get pulled then I will just pay the ticket, don't do the crime if you can't pay the fine. The CB has alwasy been the best defense for me in radar detection.
