Well it was finally nice enough to replace my A/C compressor and accumalator. It took time but it was easy. It was easy because I have the tools to do it.

JEEPZILLA is now happy again and she stoped throwing the CEL finally....No more grinding sounds and crappy HP on start off's.

New compressor installed.

This is an easy job as long as you have the proper tools to do it and experience. If you do not have any of these, then I would advise you not to try to do a job like this your self!!!!!!!!!

I will do a step by step write up on how to do this for you guys that have no idea how the A/C system works.
I have alot of pictures just no time to write tonight. Night before easter and I went to a B-day party for my cousin and well we went wheeling and came back and drank a little. OK ALOT!

What kind of pump did you use to evacuate the system?

I used a basic Recovery/VAC 2.5 HP Vac pump. I pulled a vac for 2 hours.

I held a 29.8" HG for 30 mins. My Micron guage was reading 347.2 after 2 hours.....I would say I am GOOD!

The only reason why I drew a 2 hour vac was because I had the system open for an hour and it was raining. Also My other compressor had burned up on me. (BURN OUT)
