I sent repeated emails and never heard back. As a result, my money went to buying a set of Mopar skids. I would have rather had these, but it wasn't my choice.

I have a pair (tranny+t-case and engine) skids lying in my shed which is of no use to me. If shipping it to the US weren't so hysterical I could sell it to you guys over there...

Well, I may be visiting Oslo next year. I wonder if it's worth shipping to a hotel and checking it as baggage for the flight back

Well perhaps we could make arrangements. The skids won't be rusting away ;)

Oslo is a fair trip away though, but let's see what comes up :)

I'm pretty sure you can still get these. I had a different e-mail and contact that has since been deleted from my e-mail archive since it's been more than a year since I purchased them. However, I finally reached the folks in Israel (it took a few attempts and messages) and they finally got me in touch with some folks in Connecticut. I think I paid ~$1200 shipped for the engine, tranny, and fuel skid.

i got a response back

Dear Ryan,
Thanks for your e-mail and your interest in our products.
The skid plates that we have available for the Liberty are for the 2004 model.
Kind regards

Susan

-----------------

Confirmed to fit on 2005 and 06 right? What about the side rails? The same as 2004?

I think that there is only one that they offer. And I think the CRD was available in 04 for ROW (rest of world). So I'm guessing that is what I have on my CRD. It wasn't a straight fit... I think I used a hole saw and a drill in a few places. I also fabricated an offset nut, but you could just as easily buy an offset nut and bolt, I decided it was the easiest way to secure the skids to the drivers side end of the cross-member (it could be a funky wrench with a pivoting end would do the trick also, but I was too lazy and cheap to go to Sears; the offset nut only took about 10 mins to cut drill and tap)... or you could just leave that bolt out (there are plenty more to hold it in place. Overall it was an easy job. The skids were much easier job than the super nerf side rails. You can check it out sometime if you want to drive around the beltway to the VA side.

As far as I know they are. Contact ASFIR.

And they fit on 02's and on 05+ no problem.

Do you have to take them off to change the oil?

All of the Asfir 4x4 skid plates are designed to readily access service and maintenance components without removal of parts.
