Window Tint

I want to tint my two front door windows, and strip across the windshield - Anyone here got Tint Pics?

Check out my Cardomain site in my signature. I tinted just the front two windows. Its 20% i think they said. And it is a little darker than the rear. ....but I dont think it's that noticeable. And $70 for two beats $210 for all of them. And i can still use my rear defrost. HOPE IT HELPS

I'm getting mine tinited in a few weeks.....I just got my girlfriends audi tinted while she is away on vacation as a surprise. Once she gets back I'm getting my KJ done. The tint is 35% and it csts $60 I cant wait. I know that Adam has his done already and it looks goooooood. Check him out from my cardomain site.

Here's mine

I told the place to match the other windows, and they did. I paid $65 for the 2 front and the front strip.

how much light does that tint let in? what percentage.. in NC, its stupid.. they have a law that states the front windows must allow more than 35% of light in... I have seen some cars with LIMO tint.. my old car i got dark tint on all windows and it was fine.. then they passed new law in 1994 and always used to get complaints.. after it faded some *8yrs later* i got it redone and the tint guy said he couldnt put what was on there originally.. so stupid.. so i got 'legal tint' blah.. still looked ok but not as dark.. i would like to get front windows to match but i dunno if they would allow it here

In PA I believe the darkest you can go is 15% Legally. Which looks pretty good. I had my sunfire done, and it looked great.......

In NY your are not allowed to get any tint done on your fronts. There is one degree of tint allowed but you cant even tell that it is tinted. I am getting 35%. A guy I spoke to said that as long as when you get pulled over you instantly roll your window all the way down, then they normally dont bother you.

see.. i dunno why it is.. but sometimes.. i have to pickup my wife from work.. she gets carpooled halfway sometimes.. and i wait in this abandoned parking lot.. well i get stupid sheriff dept always stop behind me and come up and ask me what im doing.. its not like everyone else doesnt do same thing.. but anyways.. last time he did it.. he asked for my id and of course i have my id and CCW permit in same holder.. granted i didnt have my weapon, but he came back all asking why i didnt tell him i had a weapon.. well i didnt have it dummy.. just my luck they would pull me for the tint

happened b4 in my old car.. i dont understand.. good.. honest.. law abidding citizens cant tint their windows.. but in FL you can have it limo tint and then visit NC and they dont say nothing..

i say if i want it dark.. i mean safe but dark.. i should be able to.. i carry a concealed weapon but i cant have tinted windows.. STUPID!!!!

my uncle has a conceal and carry, I remember being 7 years old and he got pulled over. He didn't have his CCW permit or his Smith&Wesson Model 29 (i fired it last week) on him. When the cop ran his ID it showed up as him having the permit and owning a firearm. The cop gave him a hard time and ended up searching the truck with two other officers. I hate bored police. Whatever happened to good old fashioned speed traps and the like? Here's a thought to all the cops in the world-if you have nothing better to do-park your cruiser in front of the local school to make sure people slow down, not only will you be doing your job, protecting kids, but you won't have to hassle us "good" guys...To Protect and Serve? I'll believe it when I see it.

In Michigan you can't have the fronts tinted. Supposedly it is for police protection - they want to be able to look into your car to see if you have a weapon (all because of the city of Detroit). My brother had his done anyways and always rolls down the windows when he sees a patrol car. It seems like a waste to me, having to put the windows down everytime you see a cop....

see thats what im saying.. law abiding citizens follow the law.. but how many people do you think are going to hide in my KJ if i get tinted windows? NONE!! how many people can you fit in the back of a mini van? LOTS!! so it doesnt make sense.. the law doesnt protect anyone.. out of state drivers can have their cars windows tinted limo tint and nothing is done about it.. geez i hate it heh.. oh well where are some more pics of tinted windows.. get back on subject here..

Mine was done in GA, They would have done it as dark as I wanted but told only to match. (can't remember the %).
Mine is done all to keep light out and the sun off the leather seats. It still lets enough in that I need to wear sunglasses while driving in sunny CA.

Thanks to all those with replys. Got alittle off the subject, but thats cool. I have a ppt to get mine tinted on Friday the 20th....I'll get some good Pics for you all and post them here soon after. $80 will be the damage, both front door windows and strip across the windshield. I have had this guy do it before, and he is very professional and does kick butt work. Also guarentees his work and throws in window tint protectant with the job. Can't wait.

I hear that in Ontario you can have 2% tint. Hell you might as well just spray paint the glass black with 2%...
