Rancho RSX17004 Questions

Ok guys i have just got my Rancho's delivered from Sasn fran , took 3 days to get down under.

I have a question, Is there any modification required to get them fitted or do they just slip right in?

No mods required. Rancho rear shocks are an easy install.

will they work with an OME lift or will they be too long ?

thanks guys

i only got 1 3/4's out of the rear springs so i am adding a 10mm spacer to get at least 2"from the rear when i install them

the shocks being to long is not the problem. Being to short and topping out is.

you get a 10mm spacer from a TJ ,

a hole saw and widen the hole in the middle to slip over the bump stop

Can you get them from the dealer?

most jeep specialist will have a 10mm spacer or at least they do downunder, you will have them, the tricky part is finding the centre.

i am putting mine at the top

- Trace round the spacer on a scrap bit of plywood, or something
- Take the spacer off and do all this geometry nonsense on the surface of the ply
- Clamp the spacer back into it's original position, the centre you've worked out should be visible through the existing hole in the spacer
- Take a hole saw and cut the hole bigger as required.

10mm TJ Rear spacer, i sliped it in yesterday, was a peice of cake i have mounted it UNDER the rear spring isolator, looks like there is no way of it coming out
