im not trying to be a smartass here, but that statement contradicts alot that i've read here. and if that is false, it really helps me make up my mind on my new lift decision. sorry if im putting out false info, dont want to push anyone the wrong way.

First not all lifts are created equal. A Frankenlift (or the pieced together version) will net you nearly 4". A straight OME and Rusty's will gain you 2-2.5" (though rusty's are known to sag with time). A spacer (daystar etc.) will get you 2.5" on top of your sagging OEM springs, but not a true 2.5" of lift.

Like in my earlier post, there is a small amount of trimming involved with any over sized tire, but if you go up to 32's you have A LOT of trimming and probably relocating the washer bottle to make them functional. And yes, 32's can be fully used, Crawling or whatever.

i'd go with the 245/75/16 as well. i've got 265/75/16 which are'nt good for much other than looking good, or mud. plus you wont need all the triming.
That would be false there

so with 32's and only 2.5" of lift you can get full flex, rock crawl, no triming?
You will need trimming, pounding, and extended bumbstops but then again you need some trimming and pounding to fit 245/75's and get full flex also.I run 265/75's with no issues when rock crawling on some difficult trails.

I have 30.5" that have required trimming with 2.5" of lift...... I don't see any way of getting another inch and a half.

You have the Rusty lift, maybe 2.5" OF lift if that.I'm sitting at 3.75" of lift and have plenty of room for 32" tires.

Lot of variance in what people end up depending on what type of lift they use and what else they add if anything. I saw a picture of KJ119 for example and he is at 20 1/2 inches from the bottom of the flare to the center of the wheel and hes lifted , I measured several of the Ohio group last Saturady and got from 20 3/4 , 21, 22 1/4 and one Black KJ at 23 so just because someone say I am running this tire and no rubbing does not mean you can run the same tire and not rub.
I have 265-70s on Moabs and have a ton of room all the way around mine, really need 265-75-16s!!!!!

What are you sitting at from hub center to flare?

I'm still working out my next set of shoes, hoping for 265/75's as well.

ThunderbirdJunkie can tell you from your avatar pic that you need more lift to clear 265/75-16s, and not-stock wheels.

Sorry to be Debbie Downer.

22 1/2 plus a little center of hub to flare. was at 23 but had to lower it back down

I have 16x7 US Wheel model 84 with 4" back space and am running 245/75 R16 E GY M/T R on a Frankenlift with almost no rub (only get some minor rub at full wheel lock on driver side). I did the pinch weld smash and some fender trimming. One's experience will vary from vehicle to vehicle and from tire brand to tire brand as they are all a little different.

See the "Tire and Rim" page in the Jeep Liberty Wiki - Tires & Rims
