If you live in the East Coast—and the clouds leave on time—you will be able to see the launch of a Minotaur I rocket tonight, sometime between 8:00 to 11:00 pm. Expect something like this.

The Minotaur I has a very brilliant exhaust, which not only gives an great show—fast forward the video to see it really go wild—but can be seen 800 miles around its launch point. Tonight's rocket will be launched from NASA's Virginia's Wallops Island Flight Facility. So if you live anywhere on the entire U.S. Eastern seaboard, go up to the roof or to the street and look towards that direction in the horizon.

Just to give you an idea of what you are going to see and how intense it could be, the Minotaur in the video was launched from the Vandenberg Air Force Base and filmed with a regular video camera—and a understandably very excited kid—from Santa Barbara, California.

Cool stuff right there.
