Again?

I think he saw that the thread had been bumped to the top and assumed that it meant that Marty was shipping front bumpers.

ummmm...yeah, got that. I was poking fun at the idea of front bumpers actually being ready. Funny, this thread is Way old and it was in this one that they said they were almost ready to ship.....again......

Hopefully we will see a RL SFA before any front bumpers ship......July is sneaking up fast.....
So this is going to jinx the whole thing, but 2-3 weeks for the start(got all fingers and toes crossed),2 prototype bumpers are very close also.

Is the bumper going to have a permanent winch mount? I don't want a bloody reciever mount. Fixed winch all the way!

Dang, tough crowd.

SFA crossmember plans are in the mail in route to Marlin, belly pan will follow shortly.

As for the bumper updates, I'm actually making progress this time. The Monitor Lizard Convertible Winch bumper is on the back burner right now, just too complicated for the amount of time I have right now, I'll tinker with it later. However, there are two other bumpers, the Rock Monitor Budget bumper and the Monitor Lizard ProWinch bumper.

The Monitor ProWinch is the dedicated winch bumper, sticks out 1" less than the ARB and has only a 2" face. Yes, I actually have a steel prototype mockup, and no you can't see it, still classified top secret. I believe I have only shown it to three people on here not counting Ted and Troy, so they can say I have actually been working on it and that is is a big improvement over the original Monitor Lizard design.

The Rock Monitor, well, completely redesigned from the original plan. It is basic, it is budget. Simple recovery bumper only. No hitch, no winch provisions, just a bumper with 1" thick shack tabs. And it is light weight. The picture I will show in a minute has pretty much all there is to the bumper, minus a few little things I didn't have yet, but when I stacked it all together and stood on the scale, it weighed 45 lbs.

So, don't worry, you will get some more pictures of both bumpers actually put together and mounted sometime this year.

Please, no questions or assumptions on either bumper yet, just save the questions until I have them finished and post the final pictures.

Here is a teaser of the Rock Monitor parts. Oh, and since I know the question will come up, yes there is a dang good reason for the shackle tab holes being at the bottom of the tube. Have trust, it will kick arse, I promise.

45 lbs? Hmmm. You got my attention there.
You might have a convert from my planned ARB front there.
Just put me down as another LOST member waiting anxiously with bated breath (as opposed to "baited" breath - I don't fish) for this to unfold.

x2. I am thinking new front bumper as well and am leaning towards the TJM but would like another option, especially if there was a matching rear bumper available too!

Pretty sure that bumper will be an amazing seller! Cheap, light, and it serves it purpose!

People can complain all they want about time issues but I think its awesome that you have put so much time and awesome products out there for the kj. 8)

I hope this is OK Marty
but since you have already let the cat out of the bag ....well sort of ,
just let me say that when everyones sees what is coming there will be a lot of credit cards coming out of storage or lots trips to the bank to grab some cash.

Marty continues to push the envelope, for all of us owning KJs, in making top notch products!

Now get off the internet and back to work on those bumpers, rails, racks, belly pans , cross members , Troys ready to start on his!!!!

I'm getting ready to pick up my new CRD (new to me). I hope the Lizard people don't take to long to come out with that front bumper. I'm not good at waiting to fix up my vehicles.......
