Oops! No I didn't. Maybe I'll just get the ARB.

Few more little changes to the Monitor ProWinch, and maybe I will post some pictures in the next week. Did take about 30 minutes to throw those Rock Monitor Budget bumper parts together. That bumper will be nice, because I can build those blindfolded and they are light weight (less than 55lbs) and going to retail for cheap (at or under $500). Should have started with these years ago instead of the rear bumper. :D

I know this is the Monitor Lizard thread, but since this thread is still fresh, might as well throw this one in to. Here is a quick teaser of the newly redesigned Rock Monitor budget bumper. Still not done with it obviously, but won't take much more. I was lucky to get it back off of Ted's jeep, as he likes it a lot more than his original Monitor Lizard front bumper.

Are you going to have a bumper ready for an 05 KJ anytime in the near future? I'm somewhat time limited (3 months before she goes to S. Africa), but am not sold on the ARB. I was hoping someone would have another option, I preferred the the TJM to the ARB and they are no longer available...
Only requirement I need is either a winch mount or high lift mounts... and nothing plastic...

Don't hold your breath on getting one soon. Marty takes his time and does it right the first time. If it's not perfect he won't sell it. There are dozens of us that have been waiting virtually years for a front bumper from him. The quality of his products are what keeps us patient with the progress. Marty has has lots of challenges and we all get that and understand. If you need something right away, order an ARB.

Not trying to come off as a jerk here. Just trying to inform.

Can you wait to have a TJM fitted in SA? I'm sure they have a distributor there. You may be able to have it ordered for delivery to SA for your arrival. I have the alloy TJM 17, and it is excellent - both light (lighter than the ARB) and strong.

I don't want to tie myself to an ARB and miss out on something different. I know I can have an ARB fitted in S. Africa, so I can wait until then and throw it on first thing. I'll have to track down TJM and see if there are any available over there... Honestly, I'm just anxious to see what the final RL product is.

Nice, been waiting forever for something like this. One question, will there be an option for a front receiver?

That blows and it doesn't look like it will work with the front receiver I already have...or would it?

It's got a spot for shackles, what do you need a receiver for?

Because I already have one and use it for my fishing poles and cooler.

I would think you could add one pretty easy just cut a hole in the bumper just big enough to get a receiver tube in and have someone burn it in good and add a couple gussets

This a high clearance bumper,it will not have enough room behind it to add a receiver tube without the tube sticking past the outer bumper.
