Hey guys I have OME Hd's and Ranchos struts, haven't install them yet. My question is do I need al's a-arms or not?
If not I would like to buy a DTT for the rear.

I ran for 70,000 plus miles with OME HDs and no problems, check the arms first to make sure though. I lifted mine when it had less than 40,000 on it so??? My original arms are still good and tight just got a deal and replaced them

Idon't think they're necessary but, They will give you more clearance between spring and control arm and correct the ball joint angle a little too.

Don't bother with a DTT, just skip right to a locker. Why would you even bother wtih a limited slip when you can have a locker for the same price?

i agree TBJ... go right for the locker. it's not as bad as people make it out to be for onroad use.. mine's my daily driver and it doesnt bug me at all. you know it's back there but it's not un-driveable by any means.

I'd go with the one that has the least chance of failing and causing severe injury or death.

the DL will make both wheels spin at the same time all the time. The DTT will pretty much do the same thing but it is more likely to let the wheels spin at different speeds. It also depends on what driving you do IMHO, if you do a lot of city driving or your wife/ gf drive it a lot then the DTT would probably be better, but if you go off road a lot or your the only one that drives it and dont mind changing your driving style a little bit then go with the DL.

I have the DL and I love it but you can feel it lock and unlock and I try not to make really sharp turns on pavement anymore as it will lock the rear end up and your tires will squeal.

They are both a great choice, I love the DL but I do miss the rear being open, its a lot harder to turn and floor the gas on corners with the locker in it. But I do mostly city driving and the DL doesnt really bother me that much at all.

Or get ARB's and have it ride just like it does when off and total traction when on. No "might be locked" or not "fully locked" issues. ;)

Costs more though...I personally like the control I have...Can lock both, none, front only or rear only as I choose.

I thought you said originally you wanted one for the rear?

If so we have 8.25 with 29 spline in the rear
Dana 30A up front
