I may have missed this in an earlier post BUT...

JoeJeeper, what happened to the upper A-arms and ball joints>

Were they covered under warranty? How many miles did you have when these thing went?

Curious about the whether topping off the fluids is good enough or better to get the flush and both fluid replacements.

Write back. Thanks.

The extended weather report for next Sat at Hazleton is mostly cloudy a high temp of 39, so if it holds true we shouldn't have any problems getting to Paragon. We don't have to register individually for a group ride, but I guess we could call or email and confirm that the group is coming. I read in a earlier post that we will meet at 9:00 at the Exxon which would work great for me 'cause I'm making the 4hr drive that morning. I'm looking forward to riding with you guy's and gals again, the last time was at GWNF last Oct. The YJ is half lifted (don't ask) but should be done by Sat., if not I'll take the KJ. I'm missing Sandy's birthday so why not steal her Jeep!

one KJ (good Jeep 8) ) one YJ (evil Jeep )

When I set up the ride I told them it would be the 3rd Sat of every month so they should have it posted, evn though it is not on there calander

Some things have come up and it looks like I won't be able to make it this time. Come hell or high water, I WILL be there next month for Mike's farewell run.

Sorry to hear you can't make it, David. My YJ is still in the shop, but it's done except for the alignment. It looks like we'll have 5 or 6 jeeps if every one else can make it. We need three, so I guess now's the time to speak (post) up if you're not coming.

 For those that know me the most also know that I am going through a rough time. Well this has affected my chance to make this ride this month. I may also be selling my Libby  But I will be buying an older Wrangler (might even be 2). This is not a final decision yet since I only have 10 more payments and the Libby is paid for. The gas is killing me though.

I should be at the Exxon between 7:00-7:30 for one of those famous skid plate installs. Than off to Paragon for some wheeling.

Chris, you can't sell the KJ, just because of the gas, the TJ's and YJ's get about the same. Buy a old Volks Golf or Honda, and burn that up between offices!

I’m leaving for Hazleton in about 30 min's.

Al-
7-7:30? Will it take over an hour to install? I thought it just bolted to my stock mounts. I can meet you there that early. I just didn't think we would need that much time. I already removed my old Mopar today to simplify things. I'm PM'ing you my cell. Give me a call if you think this is too early. If I don't hear from you I will be there at 7:00am.

Chris-
Sorry to hear you can't make it.

Jason

It should take only about 1/2 hour to install, but between getting things to eat on the ride, nature breaks, looking and drooling at other Jeeps and ...., we are there a long time for some reason. Oh and getting gas!!!!

We need to get over to Paragon by 8:30 (?). So I am leaving an hour to horse around in the Exxon.

Al

My evil Jeep  is home, lifted (14.5" at the Xfer skid and 10.5" at the diffs) and ready to ride! I'm leaving around 4:00 a.m. which puts me at the Exxon between 8 and 8:30. It looks like a great day for a ride. Chris, I'm with Al, but an old civic, the savings will pay for the wheelin', your Libby is too nice to give up! Hope you can work it out. See you all tomorrow.

I guess since I was driving the odd square looking Jeep they made me lead the ride, here's the report. We had five Jeeps, Al and his son, Jason, George, Joe, and me. The day started out fine, but the wind kicked up and the clouds rolled in while we were airing down. Fortunately that didn't last very long and the rest of the day was perfect. I rode all the way home with the side curtain down. The first trail we did was Foundations, #17 which is a green #2. Some interesting sections but a fun trail. Next we hit Alley Oop #4. We bypassed a washout got L.O.S.T. and exited on what we belive to be an ATV trail, A nice little challege. We took Valley Road, #11 to Doe Run, #90. Near Poet's Rock Al and I took a little bypass across a rock garden and then with the exception of our photographer Jason the rest of us ran a small rocky wash back to a junction with Valley Road. We then headed for the Spring for lunch. After lunch we stuck our noses in on the Outer Spare Tire #44, but the stream was pretty high and one exit was roped off so we used some common sense (for a change) and backed out. We then ran Boy Scout #48. It's rated a green 2, but I would rate it 2wd. After a little hill climbing at the Spring we proceeded up Turtle #7 which is just as you remember it. We finished off the day with farewell tour of Trail #25. Jason's first ride with a lift, mtr's, and proper skids, he's probably still smiling!!!

Had a great time at Paragon yesterday. We practically had the whole place to ourselves. I must getting better at rock crawling, I didn't do any damage :-). Here's a few pics of the day.
