A hitch isn't in the plans, and my only concern would be someone sticking a multimount winch in it, which it is not designed for, however, I will bolt it up and check my clearances and see how much room room I have. I'm betting I can weld it to the bottom of the main box tube and it would be sufficient for holding fishing rods and coolers, or maneuvering a trailer around the house, but no winch. The tubing for this bumper is 1/8" wall, which keeps it light but still strong enough with the way I have the shackle tabs and mounting tied it. If I add a hitch, the center section would be changed to 3/16" wall, which will increase the weight and the price, although it wouldn't be a huge change.

So, in short, I originally told my guys no I won't do a hitch, but I reserve the right to change my mind.

Yes. It's not finished, but you get the idea what it will look like. Will have to make the signal light housings for it yet. Coordinating between this bumper and the Monitor ProWinch to see if I can design the signal housings to work with both models to cut production time and cost. This bumper will retail at or under $500.

same release time if not sooner since I shouldn't have to mess with signal housings on those, just cut the current ones off the stock bumper. Still have to test fit on an 05-07 to see how I want to do that.

i feel bad for asking a question as you are overwhelmed with them, but what is the idea for turn signals? are they going to be totally aftermarket or stock with housing for them

Did they rush Michelangelo when he painted the Sistine Chapel? Or what about Beethoven when he wrote the 5th Symphony? The real question is will it be done before the second coming of Jesus? :-)r

I would have to agree with you!
Marty and his crew put out great stuff.
That being said, this is not my favorite, but hey he is doing more than most!

Few more little changes to the Monitor ProWinch, and maybe I will post some pictures in the next week. Did take about 30 minutes to throw those Rock Monitor Budget bumper parts together. That bumper will be nice, because I can build those blindfolded and they are light weight (less than 55lbs) and going to retail for cheap (at or under $500). Should have started with these years ago instead of the rear bumper. :D

I know this is the Monitor Lizard thread, but since this thread is still fresh, might as well throw this one in to. Here is a quick teaser of the newly redesigned Rock Monitor budget bumper. Still not done with it obviously, but won't take much more. I was lucky to get it back off of Ted's jeep, as he likes it a lot more than his original Monitor Lizard front bumper.

Maybe I missed it, but what are your plans for the empty area of the grill where the bumper/turn signals were on the 02 - 04s?

Thanks Sport.

You know, as is, it reminds me of a JK front end - how the bumpers don't attach to the round fender/fender flare.

You rock lizards didn't take a pic from it head on did you?

It's going to be tight but we're pretty sure we'll make that date. We're trying to get Jesus to decide exactly which year model of Liberty he'll be driving, so we can make sure we have the right bolt pattern in a kit that we're shipping to Jerusalem. We're sending a mechanic with the kit to install it while Jesus is speaking from the Mount, so everything should be in place and ready by the time he has to drive the rocky trail from the Mount to the Dead Sea.

Hmm, I kinda like that, except it is more cluttered in the gaps than the JK.

Does anyone know if the ARB bumpers (on the 02-04s) have to cut the fender flares that high?

Can Highlift jacking points be put into the front of the bumper?
Does it stick out far enough to attach a highlift to the top of the bumper?

Marty it is looking good and can't wait to get mine.
