They have the red car in one of the pix. So they took pix from the movie shots?

2.3 million seems a bit high for a Frank Lloyd Wright knock-off.

Yeah, it was a Ferrari Daytona Spyder. And the actual car used was only a shell, there was no engine, interior or anything else to it. The catapult device used to send the car thru the window is still in the house. Oh and it's not a FLW ripoff. The 1950's prairie style homes were designed by several people including Wright. The neighborhood is wealthy and homes there are not cheap.

And on a side note, this is not the only famous home currently on the market. JP Morgan's home is also now for sale. $10M asking price. And the taxes are only $63,000.00 a year.

The car that went through the window was fiberglass
in the movie - it was supposed to be a 'California Spider' - of which there were ~50 built
and James Coburn's sold for a bit less than $11M last year - or 4x the price of the house

The Daytona spiders were much more common - they built ~120 of them

That's right. It was a California Spyder. And that fiberglass replica was as I said a empty shell.

GO PENGUINS!!!!!!!!!

Actually a real 250 was outside of the movie's budget, so two MG bases cars were built. One was a shell for going through the window, the other with a small block Ford for the action shots.
