Alright, did the install today. I got some Nylon-braided clear PVC hose from Lowe's, and ran it down to an old 80 oz honey bottle I Gorilla-taped to the frame directly beneath the fuel filter. The honey bottle worked perfect because the "handle" indention fit the bend in the brake line there perfectly. I used a 3/4 inch garden hose nipple and cap to plug the old inlet line. Also installed my V6 Airbox and cleaned the MAP sensor. Happy so far; as soon as I finished up the project I went through the carwash to make sure the bottle would stay.
Strange thing about the MAP - last time I cleaned it, it was dry and caked with soot. Since then, I've been running the ORM. This time, it was oily and black. I wonder why it was not both caked with soot AND oily and black last time? I'm not overfilling it with oil - 6.4 qts measured not at the dipstick but with a measuring cup. Is the soot from the EGR really that bad, where the ratio of soot to oil in the intake is so overwhelming that the soot negates the oil? Huh.
