How'd you guys get the thumbnail to display - all I get is a web-manager pic of the very upper left-most with the connecting banjo.

I PM'ed Greg, and I know that they no longer carry the CAT 2 fuel filter kit. Does anyone know where this might be available now, or is it less of an issue now that ULSD is the norm? Or does a Wix replacement from NAPA work just as good?

Wix may extract their head from their rear pelvic area, wipe off their eyes, and offer a 2 micron filter in the future, who knows.
Mopar is 3 micron, Racor has 2 micron filters, but you need to buy their head. I was trying out how to make an adapter so the Racor could screw onto the Mopar head, but the water sensor is still a problem.
If my memory is correct the Mopar is 16mm X 1.5 and the Racor is 1" X 14 Threads Per Inch.

Now here is the item I can not verify, the gasket diameter of the Racor. If it will fit the Mopar head the adapter to screw on the Racor filter could be made by drilling and taping the inside of a piece of 1" X 14 TPI threaded rod and screwing it on the Mopar mounting nipple.
Then you would need a Racor filter bowel, water sensor, and a way to connect it to the harness.
Since I have a Mopar fuel filter on the shelf, I have put the adapter on hold for now.

I strongly believe that if you run the lift pump that you won't have any problem with the filter head for it won't get air bound. I'm still running the original setup with a small lift pump in front of it. See my signature for the setup I used. That's all you need, end of story. 8)

While installing the lift pump has cured the air in my KJ's fuel head problems it also exacerbated the leak from the fuel heater plug. I plan to get the Racor fuel head and filter in the future.... For now, I have cleaned the female plug on the factory fuel head and filled it with JB Quick. Fuel leak gone...

Cheers,
Erik

Same thing happened to mine after installing my lift pump, dealer replaced it under warranty. If you are getting any fuel out of the leak, you were getting a lot more air since the viscosity of air is much lower.
