I am looking into getting a 1999 Land Rover Discovery SD. I am wondering if anyone on here has owned one or knows anything about them...Are they crazy expensive to fix if a problem occurs. Any thoughts would help?

I've wanted to buy one for a while (still do) I consulted a Independent LR mechanic and he suggested the 98 disco because it's still a series 1 and more aftermarket parts are available. As far as repair costs I wouldn't know. Also check out http://www.rovertym.com/ if you haven't already
