I was fired today.

I was minding my own business (literally) when suddenly my work cell phone stopped working. I called it from my iPhone and I got the disconnected message. Then I got error messages on my iPhone that it couldn't connect to me work email server. I've been fired plenty of times but this was some serious weak sauce.

As of 7:30 MST I was on a phone interview with a company out of CA and I am 90% sure I am hired. If I do get the job, I would have been unemployed for 4 hrs which would be a new record for me.

Gawh that's gotta inhale something fierce! I can't even imagine just getting dumped like that, every job I've had I was able to move on from of my own choosing (or because a contract ended). Good luck on the Cali opportunity!

Man that sucks, jeez you just started and all and moved halfway across the country.

The lamest story I've heard(not mine but buddies wife) worked for a large tech company back home, see went to work, sat down at her desk, logged into her computer and a urgent email message popped up,she opened it and it litterly read in big bold letters "Your fired" and vacate the premises within 30 mins of reading or you will be forcefully removed by security. She printed it off and left, sent the copy to the parent company(board of directors) in CA,she was rehired(with a raise,as was her whole team) and the main manager was sent the same email to fire him after the investigation uncovered he fired my buddies wife and her team to clear spots to bring in his daughter and some of her friends.

First of all, the Fed can't print enough money for me to move to So Cal. People in So Cal don't want to live there hence they all move here and your part of CO. I told the guy that I didn't think it would make sense for me to move to CA and he said "that's the last place I'd want you to be". He seemed fine with me being in UT. For now I am staying put but if he offers me a bunch of cash to move back to the east coast, I'm gonna have to take it. Of course then I have to deal with the lame wheeling opportunities out there.

It's a very small company of only about 11 people but their product is built with pride in the USA.

The interesting thing is if I do get hired, the guy who just fired me would be working for me.

I'm going to do my best to not impact the MOAB Cool Kids Run in July, but the Ouray light gets dimmer and dimmer.

They layed off 38 people at our place last week. The plant was on shutdown, they got a Fed Ex letter stating they were terminated. I kept my job, but have to do the work of the 8 QC people they eliminated, haven't touch my dept projects in a week.....all boils down to the bottom line $$$$$
Hope you find something else.

I have a feeling the LOST family is about to get big in Colorado. My Wife keeps pushing for us to move there. Easy for her to say...she has never dealt with snow. Silly Desert Girl.

What snow? It snows, it melts very fast. Roads are clear in a couple hours or less. We have super dry air....hence the powder snow for awesome skiing and riding (snowboards for you unknowing).

JL...take care of that family of yours.
