i'm happy with my garmin nuvi 200. its a basic one but well worth $99. has all the feature i need, and its compact. my parents magellan is like a small television. also the box says it plots coordinates (havent tried yet) but it will be great this summer for plotting dive sites on lake michigan.

I have a phone with Google Maps with GPS. I would never use it as a primary source of navigation for my vehicle. Maybe on foot if I am lost in the woods.

I bought my Garmin Nuvi 750 at Sam's Club for 100.00 ... no joke. It was a "defective" return because ONE PIXEL was stuck green, which I dont even notice. They also offered a 3 year no hassle immediate replacement warranty on it for 15.00. Couldn't pass it up.

I can honestly say the features on my Garmin are extensive compared to TomTom, Magellan, and the cheap knockoffs. Garmin is definitely where it's at. It's got a great refresh of your location, and is pretty accurate. I'd say it only has a 2-3 second delay from realtime, which is great for a GPS. Most of the others I have tried are closer to 8-10.

I'd get/save up for a Garmin. You won't regret it.
