Anyone know of any more tents that attach to a Liberty?

I've found...

One from Mopar

Another on from Mopar

...and...

An interesting (questionable) design that may or may not fit the Liberty from LoftyDesigns

Anyone know of any more that might fit the back of the Liberty?

PS - I'd love to have the Adventure Trailer, but I don't have that kind of $$$ right now.

I dont have any pics of it on the jeep. it works good though. Not a very good rain tent though. Does great in light rains, doesnt leak at all. But when you get it under trees that make the water drops really big, you get a nice mist coming in on ya. Ive never put water repealant on it, maybe that would help some. I bought it off of a friend, it came with his libby, got it for $100.

Thanks. I think that's the one they list on Mopar's site. Looks like a nice tent. I'll bet it's a great space with the Liberty all hooked up to it! I'm debating whether or not to get one. That rain fly looks a little thin, no wonder bigger drops leak through. I would definitely suggest putting some Kamp Kote on it (or something similar). I put it on both my tents and all my rain gear (jackets, tarps, etc.). I'm about to buy a new tent (small to take canoeing, kayaking, and/or biking) and I'll probably put two or three coats of Kamp Kote on it right when I get it. I've jolted awake too many times with a wet tent to leave that to chance any more.

if ya want to know the truth, thats why that tent is set-up in that pic. I had just washed it and i was going to put water repeallent on it then it rained. :?

I usually take a tarp and through over it if i know its going to rain. If the jeep is parked uphill, water runs right back into the tent, so you have to plan for that too.

Look at what Mario has for sale at adventuretrailers.com --- they are one of the sponsors of this website. They do have models that you can mount to your roof rack and would fold out. Takes four or five minutes to get ready.

I take this one to the beach:

Yesterday one guy came over and asked "does that tent come with the Jeep?". :D I should have said yes.

When you hook it up to the Jeep, are the tailgate and gate glass open under there? Does it let in bugs & rain? And if you need to drive away, is there a gaping hole there? How tall is the tent, can a 6'3" man stand up in it without his head hitting the top?

Well, the tailgate and window can open up just fine. I think its a good idea to leave the window open b/c it pushes up on the tent keeping rain from building up. It will not let bugs in if you tie it good and tight, but be sure to let the exhaust cool off so it wont burn the tent. There is a room that can be closed off where the jeep hooks up, so it doesnt matter if it lets bugs in or not. A hole is left if you drive away which is REALLY stupid IMHO. If it rains or anything it gets that little room wet. The living quarters is a 10x10 room and I believe I can stand up in it(im 6'). I would throw a tarp over it if its going to rain, not a big deal and its nice security.

Ill be getting it out in the next couple of days to clean it, Ill get some good shots of it hooked up to the jeep and everything.
