A lot of members have had luck with a basic scanner from HArbor Freight. I personally bought one at Wal-Mart for $100 that works great. One trick I found with it though is that you have to scan immediately after running the engine. Try putting the scanner in the truck, start it up, go down to the Stop 'n Go, then drive back home and as soon as you park it and turn it off plug the scanner in and turn the key over to "On." Mine will only read when the code is "fresh" like that.
