Okay so as some of you know the 6" lift is now available (I received a email from Marlin the other day regarding this) but I am now seriously considering the 4" lift for my '02.

Not sure if I am looking hard enough in the forums here but I can't find talk on these lifts? So I want to comment and ask, I am thinking I would include JE Reels cut-down CV's, and Al's quick disconnects. Since this all comes in "kit form", are there any side notes or issues I need to concern myself with, regarding any of this - piece by piece or in whole?

And on that note, if anyone knows JeepinJoe, please let him know I would really like to know his opinions, issues and or praises.

- Thanks.

I had one of the very first ones and tested it on a couple hard rock crawling trails her ein Colorado. There were some adjustments needed for it to fit my KJ right though for others the original spring rates for the very first one seemed right. Ask me, TJKJ and Rock Lizard anything about it.

in my opinon if your going to spend the $ for his 4in lift.. save a little more and get the 6in. a frankenlift for $1000 will give you 3.5 in. (with a few cheap tricks.. conduit nuts/rear isos) you can easily get 4in out of a frankenlift. now.. JBA's 6in lift is the bee's knee's if you ask me.. it flex's like crazy.

You are getting top of the line components.

I think most on here only need or want to run 31/32s with the notorious issues with our front diffs, so most go with the Frankenlift or OME which are priced well and will fit those tires. I have 4" of lift from my Franky with no extra parts up front and 2 extra rear isos per side in the rear. I personally feel that the lift isn't really the issue with lifting a KJ, but the front diff is. So for me, spending that much on a JBA lift didn't equate since the IFS was still my real limiting factor. I think that the JBA kit is top of the line and you'll obviously pay for it, but I'm not entirely sure you'll get twice the performance even though you're paying twice the price. I don't necessarily think it is a waste to spend the extra $ on a JBA kit, but I preferred to save the extra $1,000 and spend it on nice tires or other stuff for my jeep. Just my 2 cents.

I think JeepinJoe bought a JK recently, didn't he? He'd still be able to answer your questions though.

Inc, I understand your concerns and thoughts.

2006 KJ, The same goes for you however I don't want to go 6".

Regardless of what I do, my KJ will be a DD for awhile and used off road occasionally on midwest trails and off-road parks.

Tokyojoe, because of the quality of the components and such including the JE Real custom CV's and JBA's uca's, etc., is exactly why I am considering this lift. I didn't realize you had the 4" JBA. The current lift on site profiles Jeepinjoe, so that is why I was really interested in what he had to say. But I will be grateful to anyone who can PM me or reply here regarding their experiences with the lift. - Thanks.
