Thanks,

I racked my brain for day's trying to figure something out that was fast and simple.

All I have to do is remove the bushing brackets and the bushings.

The bracket is shaped like a "P" with an opening in the bottom to slide it over the sway bar.

Then I tie wrapped a piece of rubber hose on the sway bar to prevent noise.

The "P" bracket is made from flat steel 3/16" x 3/4" bent in a vice.

The "P" needs to be fairly large front to back so that the swaybar, when released, can fall about 1/2" to an 1" so that it will rotate away form the mounting bolts and the gap in the "P".

I put the nuts back on the studs to protecet them from damage.

To mount the "P" I just drilled some holes in the frame and threaded them, I used the holes I drilled in the "P" bracket as my template.

I'll try to get some pics posted soon

It is fairly simple, Just bend the steel bar in to the "P" shape. Dril holes in it and the frame. Tap the frame to accept bolts. Slide the "P" over the bar install a rubber insulator and bolt the "P" down. Remove the bar mounting brackets and off you go. I install the nuts back on the bolts to protect the threads.

I am not recommending this to anyone, nor can I take any responsibility for any repercussions. If you decide to use my idea, do so at your own risk! If you decide to start selling them, I want a cut :-)

Any problems with the swaybar hitting the bolts that are left in place when you take the side supports off? Seems like a really simple way to take it off for trails and not have to store it somewhere.

You'll notice the P is wide front to rear, that allows the bar to fall forward away from the bolts. I do put the nuts back on to protect the bolts.

I forgot to mention the obvious, remove your sway bar bushings or you'll lose them.

Also, I believe the correct terminology for this bar is "anti-roll bar" as it reduces body roll, not side to side sway.
