Hi gang! We got an '05 Liberty Renegade, w/o skids (like Moose said) with 40K miles on it. The only problem with it is I think that it is the same color as ThunderbirdJunkie's Liberty :D My wife had asked how long it would take to set this one up, that it took about a year to do the last one. I told her that the weather is right to off road, I have a fantastic group to wheel with, and maybe a month or two would do it! (Like we ever get done fixing them up). It needs a lift, skids, rock rails, locker, etc. Maybe flotation for the roof  I was working on mounting the Hi Lift jack tonight at work. It will be great to get back out on the trails.

Welcome back Towstrap!

Did you pull anything off the other KJ? or can you still get anything off of it?

If you have a Patriot Blue 05 Rennie, you have the exact KJ ThunderbirdJunkie wants

Hi Eric, Yep, I think I got what you are looking for. I really like the color! If you ever tell me what NTB store you are at, I might bring it by. I am going to assume it is the one by the Dayton Mall, but I'm not sure. (Assume = booty/u/me) Scott just ordered the skids for it today, due in this week. I am still debating about whose lift to use. After that will come the rock rails. I guess all it takes to build anything is time and money. Most of us are short on both! Good luck at the new place!

Oh, and I specifically did not want an '06 or later, remembering all the grief that Moose went thru with his '06 Liberty Renegade! No Electronic Stability Program for this guy!

A work party at Scott's place tonight got a lot of work completed on my "new" Liberty. Scott turned the rotors, mounted and balanced tires, defeated the tire pressure monitor system, replaced the rear disc brake pads, we did an oil and filter change, added engine, transmission, transfer case and fuel tank skids (Mopar) and some other things I probably forgot to mention. So, now it is time to wait until Rev. Mudd returns and guides me in the lifting of the Liberty. So, it is certainly coming along. And many thanks to Scott (1996XJ)! I need to clean the Liberty and see if we still have an operating camera here. I really like the "new" '05 Renegade. Pics to follow, I hope.
