For you fortunate LOSTers who have an aftermarket sunroof (probly stock is same fix)

After a pretty intense day of scenic OH driving on a low traffic road the low overhang growth of overhead trees got bits of twigs into my runners of my open sunroof. At the end of the day it would not close.
I found all the bits and removed them ( some with a needlenose plyers) but the glass panel still would not close.

I had to have a sunroof guy look at it ( there are plenty of them in Phoenix) and he simply "reset" the operation procedure and it was fixed - a 2 minute job!

Turns out the system thinks that maybe a kid's hand got stuck in the path or something and it failsafe's to the 1/2 open.
I have a "highlanda"( I think that's what he said, sounded Swedish) after market sunroof. The unit tilts up from the rear (ventilation) or you can run the glass panel into the roof towards the rear for open position.

The fix is simply press and hold 20 plus seconds the "ventilation" position button and it will comply and "beep" indicating system reset and then everything works fine. The sunroof guy didn't even charge me anything! If anyone needs sunroof service I would recommend them as they were more than fair to me. He can at least get me to refer anyone from here at LOST needing any such work or installs ( of course here in Phoenix).

Even though your unit works fine now- this is good info for when it does get stuck open.

That is good info. Mine came with a sunroof, but I'm filing that 1/2 open fix in the old noodle anyway. Thanks for the heads-up.
