I am wondering if a 245/75/16 BFG all terrain will fit on my jeep. It has CRD springs in the front with a 3 ring clevis lift and an extra rear isolator in the back. I have an ARB bumper up front so I am not worried about rubbing in the front of the wheel, I also have pounded the pinch weld in. I also have Cragar 8 wheels so my backspacing is an half inch less than stock. The part I am worried about is rubbing in the rear on the fender flares under flex but I am willing to trim.

Thank you,
Matt

whats the measurement from center of wheel to bottm of the flare in front and rear?
CRD stock springs will not give you any real lift, maybe an inch at most, just hold up the weight better so you basically have a 3 conduit nut lift which is maybe 3/4 of an inch to maybe an inch plus whatever from the springs so 2 inches? I am guessing
Lot depends if the 245-75s will fit and rub, back spacing/width of wheels, etc

Wow you got more lift than I thought you would then, 28.5 in the front

JBAs 4 inch lift gets you about 23 inches, mine is 22 1/4 -22 1/2, you're about ten inches over stock

maybe measure again
center of the wheel to bottom of the flare

at 19.5 front and 19 rear it would be tight I think, you are only about an inch, amybe 1.5 over stock height The tire you want to use is 30.5 inches tall stock 29 inches may work but would be tight and going over curbs, speedbumps etc it may rub a lot. At stock height a 245-70 at 29.5 inches tall will rub a slight amount when cut hard one way or the other. Only way to really see is mount one up and try it, not only turning but flexing some as well

I am going to go out on a limb and say... probably not. Or in other words, they will fit... if you don't turn and don't hit any bumps.

IIRC I think some people have to do some trimming and adjusting with that size tire even with a 2.5" lift?

Ok so I see that they will not fit, I will be going with a 245/70/16 instead because I do like to wheel it and I do not want it to rub every time I flex it.

Now the real question.... BFG all terrain or General Grabber at2?
Price is not a problem, as long as I am buying quality

i would say go BFG A/T, i have seen numerous people/friends with these tires, they wear AMAZINGLY well, and perform top notch in anything but sticky muddy conditions. i want to get a set of them for street and less-muddy trails
