What have you done to your KK lately

I'm not so worried about the expenses THERE - more the expenses that *may* be required on the WAY there, right now I'm still bone stock

It may just be too much. We're getting married in 2 months, and right now the wedding budget is set at "BMW 128i Cabriolet"....

Holy that's going to be fancy wedding. My brother got married in Mexico abd had a big fancy wedding 4 years ago. He's still paying it off. My wife abd I had a small wedding in our home town the Crowsnest Pass.

The budget WAS set at "Jeep Patriot" about 12 months ago.... :roll:

All I can say is, we're not getting married in Calgary - actually Victoria, BC - HERE:

Hatley Castle - The wife-to-be always dreamed about going to England and getting married in one of the big castles/cathedrals there (her Mom's british)... at least this is the budget version of that....

Just think of all the land/down payment on a house/whatever you could buy instead of a fancy wedding!
And still doesn't mean she will still love you or you will be together in 5 years :lol:

My (last) wife and I got married in my Mothers back yard with a few friends, and then took $20,000 and bought land ( over 40 acres) in Tanzania for "my" retirement in a few years.

I'm with them though...do it small & put the money to good use. Unless her Dad is paying and he's loaded....

I always worry about women that go crazy on weddings. Have to wonder what their more excited about, getting married, or being married.

Yeah - Her parents are footing a BIG chunk of the bill *thank jebus and the superfriends*

She's put up with me and all my annoying habits for the last 6 years, I *suppose* I can put up with this one for her... i guess... although... it'll put the lift off awhile, I'll live.

I proposed to her in Vegas... half hoping she'd go for the idea of a quicky wedding while we were there with a couple friends last year, half knowing it'd be a cold day in hell before that happened

My '08 KK Sport didn't come with factory Homelink visors so I added this mirror.

I know I'll probably get kicked out of the forum for this, but I really like it. Even if it did come out of a Kia Sorento.........

i'm not bashing the mirror... only cause it sucks it didnt come with the homelink... looks good though mounted... wouldnt be able to tell it was kia unless you told me

Spent another day wheelin' my KK in the San Juan mountains outside Ouray, Colorado at LJS '09 today. Below are a few teaser photos.

decided to play in a little sand at the beach....

The worst part about my beach trip was when I was leaving to go home.. I found out that Sandy Nech Beach has Trails that runs along the water..

hey, I had a 97 Kia Sportage. That thing was a great little four wheeler. At that time, we were building a new transitter site on the top of a mountain that had no road. I beat the poor little Kia to pieces.

I put about 80K on it, then gave it to my daughter, who took it across the country 2 or 3 times while she live in Kansas.

She gave it back to me about 4 years ago. I finally sold it to a coworker who was using it on a 130 mile round trip commute every day.

That thing has about 180K miles on it now and it's still going strong.

Sounds fun playing in the sand. Nice photo of your KK fellow green KKer. At least now you know about the other trails along the water.

Yesterday (Saturday) spent driving my KK from Ouray, Colorado where LJS '09 was held back home to the Kansas City area.

Here's a few teaser photos from our last day of wheelin' in the mountains on Friday:

Wheelin' down the back side of Black Bear Pass toward Telluride.

My KK and I enjoy being up high in the mountains. I plan to do a quick write-up sometime regarding various aspects of my KKs performance on the trails and going up to high elevations.

Speaking of high elevations....

For more info, check out the LOST Jeep Safari 2009 section. I certainly hope next year more KK owners will be ready to take their KKs on the trails with the group. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

For all those out East, don't forget ECS 2009 this October in Oak Ridge, TN. :wink:
