1.) Anyone want to host this gala affair for the month of August? Since its my Birthday month

meduncans place in Dublin ( Columbus)

2.) Anyone have any ideas of what to do

moose doing ribs , can do mrpinks lift if he wants anyone else ??

2a.) Keep in mind no matter where we are there is only so much that can be done in a day. I keep seeing where several want things done and most are not 10 minute jobs. So if its something you need help with get it on the list early

3. Any runs etc coming up or that you want to plan in the coming months?

I was kind of hoping someone Northeast / Central would want to do one.

Was wanting to do something with jerbacher before he left this great state but I am sure he is up to his alls in packing etc now!

Not putting anyone on the spot but trying to be fair to everyone on here and not leave anyone out.

I have had a few up here with the Northeast gang and some of the Southwest bunch making the trip up and over, and we Toledoans have made the trip South a few times so trying to even it out.

Lima area would work if no where else, but who all do we have in that area that has space OR just a get together at a park or something?

My job is to throw out ideas.............. yours is to take the ideas and run with them

for reference;
Toledo to Kettering 160 miles
Toledo to Akron 140 miles
Toledo to Columbus 145 miles
Toledo to Lima ( my birthplace    ) 80 miles

by the way August 29/30th is out for me anyways

I have the space down here in Roseville, near Zanesville. I have some local trails we could run if anyone was interested aswell.

Good option as well, Did you move or still in the same place? I knew you talked about moving for a while so didn't know.

Afraid though some of the guys maybe scared in Roseville , esp. after dark,

be close for me to run on down home though!

Being ive never been to a lost MNG, what are the typical agenda's? I cant afford to spend much cash but I should have a newly purchased house that has a completely unused finished walk out basement with bathroom, and 4.5acres, and some trails within 10miles. I will be about 5 miles farther south than I am now.

Assuming the date picked doesnt interfer with any other plans I would have no problem having you all down to my place.
We could hit what used to be Painted Rock if we wanted to hit some trails. I can get teh stockers around anything there with no issues, and I can show you why my 07 is falling apart...

All depends most times it seems someone has a lift or something to install , we have done for example at my place one lift at a meet to one time did 2 and 1/2 lifts, set of rock rails and tore apart a front diff ( way too long of a day!)

So all depends , never had a chance to just get together check out each others rides, cook some 'cue and do some wheeling. There used to be some pretty good stuff down in your area when I lived in Cambridge in the late 80s.

Tom

The good stuff was probably whats avondale wildlife area now. the new house buts up against all 2500 acres of it, but its all off limits, I ride my horse back in there all the time,a shame its all gated up.

I'd be happy to host the MNG here in Dublin. We've got plenty of street parking, a two car garage, some air tools, etc. Oh and we have a Napa about a mile away in case we need parts. :)

If I host the event the date could be the 15 or 22.

Thinking about it a bit more, the 15th of August works real well for me. So who has the final word on where this will be?

Columbus is more central for everyone, but I'm out for the 15th

Who has the final say??? More than likely the one who sticks his neck out the farthest at times. The President and also the majority.

With that said, I would like to get offroadohio a chance to host one but since he has never been to one of our fine events would like for him to see what it is all about before we pounce on him. He does live in a beautiful area with lots of back roads

Columbus is more central for sure for everyone. Only 3 hours for me  We'll see what the comments are in the next few days then sit up the place and time. I can be available any of those weekends I think. 15th would work

I will have some things to do to mine by then, but I think its going to have to be done in a TOP SECRET location in Toledo, Not a club work day although Chris certainly owes me a few hours !

So what does the Southwest / Toledo gang think of driving to Columbus, Northeast sounds like a go!

Ribs sound excellent, so let's plan on having the MnG here in Dublin on August 15. Feel free to show up any time after 10am. Please PM me for my address and phone number if you're interested in coming.
