We put a set of 3.5s on 501's when we installed the OME coils, went on about the same but I like the 4.5s better

What are you trying to point out? Have you looked at JBA arms with out the ball joints attached? JBA arms looks the same...

how narrow the bridge is between both halfs

So whats the point here? Like I said before RRO & JBA look exactly the same. If you have a set of JBA arms take a look at it.

I just replaced the ball joints in my Al Arms. I noticed the same thing.

Which brings up the point, if any of your nuts are loose then you break your arms.

One thing that does seem flawed is the lower bolt position. Could they not have been higher up so their was more material below the bolt hole. I could see cracks developing there very easily. They would have had to use a different ball joint that had the holes line up higher on the flat metal. As it is they can not increase the material below the bolt hole without the a-arms hitting the spring. Mine just barely clear as it is.

I had the same thought about the holes. All that meat above and none below...

I have no idea what kind of ball joint options there are to choose from though.

He said that the tube bend design is a little different, so there will be a little rubbing on the arm at full turn with alot of flex. But that dosent seem to bad to me. And for only 299$ it would seem worth it. Like I said, I talked to marlin a couple of times and he seems like a real straight forward and a descent guy.

There are a few real stand up guys making parts for KJs
and Marlin is one of the few for sure.

The 3.5s are the old 3s with the 4.5 ball joint mount and ball joint. So yes there will be some rubbing at full turn possibly. With that said I would still go 4.5s but it does save you some coin. I have seen and installed both as I said before.

Have you had any luck with RRO regarding the missing tube for the bush?

Ok, I wasn't trying to start anything since we are here to see how the RRO's are and do.

Here's a pic of a JBA arm. It still has the balljoint fitted, but to me it seems there is more meat around it then on the RRO's. And they seem longer, so there is more tubing holding the plate.

your right tony, you can see on the 2 inner bolt holes, there is more meat around the bolt hole, and where the tubing is notched in. appears to be more around the balljoint too, but its hard to tell with the BJ fitted, but im sure they do have more meat there too. i LOVE my Al's 4.5 arms :D

My question is, was this just a bad cut or defective plate, or are all of them cut like this. Would like to see a couple more sets of these arms to compare to see if its a fluke or not.

That pic makes me feel better about Al's A-arms. There is definitely more material around the bolt holes than on the RRO pic.

NOSNORB:

Can you please post a pic of that 'bumpstop' extension taken from above?

I would like to see how big the top end is.

Might rub on 245/ stock rim setup.

And if they where mine: I'd drill a hole in them to reach the grease zerk. How are you going grease the ubj this way?

I understand the point your trying to make. However without a pic with the BJ & bolts not installed in the JBA you really cant tell the thickness is what IM getting at. From what you can see there isnt much difference & I believe the JBA look near identical. Now with that being said I could say the same thing about the JBA upper bolt holes being thin. Since the RRO arms obviously have more thickness there. So either way you look at it both arms have some flaws. Another point to be taken is that with the RRO bumpstop extension installed you gain a sandwhich effect giving the arm that much more beefiness (I dont think thats a word lol). Im not trying to start an argument or some stupid fight causing the thread to be locked. Im cleary trying to post a review on the RRO version so people do have other choices. If people are going to just basically post on here just to say I love my JBA arms then please just save that for a JBA thread.
