I went wheeling a few days ago and I aired down my tires to about 23-24psi well when I got done wheeling I noticed my front left tire was down to about 18psi and there was a slow leak in my tire. So I went to the nearest gas station and filled it up. It was fine for 2 days and now I went to leave for work and it said that my tire was down to 15psi! So I put my spare tire on, 235/65/17, and drove to the shop to see if my mechanic could look at it. So I dropped it off and he said he would inspect it and see what he could find. I'm going to richmond tonight. SOOOO IF there is a hole in my tire, would it be safe to drive on my spare going anywhere from 70-75 maybe 80mph down the highway for about 4 hrs? Or would I need to match with another 245/65?

what kind of tire is the spare? depending on OD it will probably be all right. long trip with no spare, hope you don't get another flat. BTW, you do know the speed limit in VA is 65, right?

Also, surprised the shop can't fix the tire for you before you leave the area tonight.
