Hi all,
Installed the SEGR about a year ago. Had someone build the box for me. Worked great till today. The check engine light came on! Installed the bypass plug and erased the codes and the check engine light went out. Plugged the SEGR back in and the light came back on. I also had codes P0101 and P0401. Anyone have an idea on what to do? Do you think the box is to blame? Any thoughts would be appreciated. Also having tranny problems :? When the car sits for awhile it wont go went shifted into gear, have to wait a minute or so. Also sometimes when you put it into gear you can drive normally till about 40 mph then when you hit the throttle you hear the engine rev and the rpm's come up but the car barely moves, if you stop and shut it off and turn it back on it then drives ok. Really pissing me off! Thanks again. Dave

On the SEGR section, there is a way to test the unit.
It's possible it has failed.
Another here had the SEGR box full of water. That caused all kinds weird problems.
Might want to open it up and take a sniff, look for cooked parts.

Installed the bypass plug on the SEGR. Cleared the codes and turned the check engine light off. After a few minutes down the road the light is back on. Now when I shift into drive it feels like there is no power. If i turn the Jeep off and back on again it drives normally and shifts fine.

With the SEGR out of the system, jumper plug installed, what codes do you get now when the CEL comes on?

I have the check engine light on. There are no codes on the reader and the reader says the check engine light is off. When I erase all the codes and reset the light, it still comes on. When you start the jeep and put it in drive it feels like no power and not shifting correctly. Feels smooth no jerking or clunking but not shifting correctly and low on power. When I stop and turn the jeep off and back on again it drives normally with the checkl engine light on.

If you have a CEL and your scanner says you don't, you have one of many scanners that can't read the codes on the KJ CRD. (It's the only DCJ product with a Bosch ECU.)

You may have a failing MAF, but if you suspect your SEGR has failed, I will test it for no charge. I may have been your builder anyway.

Well the local dealer changed out the MAF sensor. They drove it and no CEL. I got it back and on the second startup the CEL came back on again. Libby is back at the dealer and now there saying the boost pressure sensor has failed and thats what caused my MAF sensor to fail. Lets see if this fix will keep the CEL off. With the SEGR plugged in, does it effect this sensor?

SEGR has nothing to do with the MAP (boost pressure) sensor, just the MAF.

This dealer is feeding you a bunch of BS. The MAF is behind the air cleaner, BEFORE the turbo. The MAP Sensor, or what he is calling the boost pressure sensor is on the intake manifold. They are miles apart on the system and neither one can screw up the other.
Roll up your pants legs, and get ready to run!
Now if it's under warrantee and they're buying, no problem.
