anybody running Truxus MT's? They look like a good tire but nobody near me runs em (lots of BFG's and Goodyear MTR's) so I haven't seen them in person...

Off road they are awesome. I wouldn't want another tire. On road...after 15k miles, I'm looking to score 4 Bridgestone Revos strictly for road use. The TrXus are hard to balance, are very sensitive to alignment, and wear fast. They look good. I think they are the toughest looking tire out there, even including the Cooper and I get comments at the stop light all the time, but the innards of my Jeep are starting to rattle.

Hope this helps.

Dave

P.S. If you are looking to score some...the cheapest place I found was here at $128/tire, but they do not make a 245/75/16...

http://www.tyres1.com/browse/browseT.html

Shipping was very reasonable and delivered straight to my patio.

I have been using Trxus for a long time. I was a big MT/R guy until I got the Trxus. As for wearing fast, the smaller size will always wear faster than bigger tires of the same kind, but I had 34" Trxus on my junk for almost 50,000 miles with an unregular rotation period of about 5000-7500 miles, and I kept two of those worn tires as spares because they weren't to the wear bars yet. I replaced the old 34's with another set, but got rid of those after 100 miles because I am putting some full widths and 37" Trxus under my rig. I also put 31" Trxus under the wife's ZJ when I got the new 34's. I won't own another tire for duel purpose daily driver/trail rig unless I get something else for free, or I go with a bias ply for strictly offroad like an Iroc.

I have the cooper stt and love them they are great off road so far it doesn't matter mud sand or rock climbing they are great. they are great on road too good wet traction good dry traction. some road noise but not bad for the agressive tread on them.
