Its this same company that has sold others, except this one is a LHD one.

Makes me wonder what it would take to keep it in the US.

You need to find someone you know real well in the auto industry - parts supplier , tire supplier, software engineer, or something else to that effect. These people can license just about anything there is and put on a manufacturers plate. Thats how all the photo ops are taken of test mules running all over. FWIW

You would have to first fill out all of the import documentation for having a non-emissions and non-safety compliant vehicle here in the US. Then, you're only allowed to have it here for a certain time period before it has to be crushed and proof of crushing given to the government.

The guy in FL is just a broker for cars all over the world and just happens to be a tease in this case.

Oh what I would give for that beast

Such a shame that most of America still related the word diesel to the noisy coal burners of the 70's and 80's :(

I was thinking more along the lines of exporting it to trinidad and tobago(friends there), then reimporting it separate from the drivetrain and chassis, this way I can register it as a built vehicle in the US.

Do it Sam, that's be awesome if you could make it financially sound.

I was looking at that fuel head - I wonder if that part could be ordered from Mopar and installed in our KJ's?

That fuel filter assembly (in the KK) isn't compatible with the KJ fuel system. It's a reverse-direction flow and requires the injector return to go to the fuel head (due to pressure drop from piezo system) whereas KJ ties into the fuel return block on the side of the engine.
