Well, they have one of these threads over on JeepKJ.com so I decided to start one here.
This thread is about anything and everything.
Just random thought., whatever.
Have fun with it.
And of course obey the forum rules or the moderators/admin will take action.

I'll start it off.

Wendsday after I got done muddin I was going down the road and a guy in a lifted TJ pulled up next to me and looked over at me and laughed. As he was turning into his neighborhood he threw me the peace sign as I drove by. I guess he never expected to see a KJ covered in mud and he was glad that someone uses a jeep like it was made to be used!

I love the looks I get, having a diesel. Almost every day when I leave the plant where I work, I pass a cop directing traffic. When I pass him, I give it a little "gas" to make the turbo and the exhaust a little louder, and check my rearview. He always turns and watches me for a couple of car lengths before turning back to the task at hand, and I can tell the look on his face - "Did I just hear what I thought I heard? That sounds like a diesel!"

Oh, and I thoroughly enjoy Digger's new avatar. Yikes.

Who would have thought true dual exhaust on a V8 with no mufflers/convertors only would aggravate the neighbors, and wife..... OOOPPSSS!!!
Another random thought.. most people would paint their wheels when the factory silver flakes off leaving them two toned.... :o 8)

I don't think so. Planes always circle my house, the second time their landing gear was down.
They're probably landing at the navy base right up the road from my house.

The F-22 is the biggest waste of money in Air Farce history. 20+ years to develop and billions of untold dollars down the tubes. They should let the Navy develop the planes and the Air Force takes what they make. It's a whole lot easier to take a Navy plane and adapt it for AF use than try to adapt an AF plane for Navy use. Any one here remember the F-111-B mess? It was because of that waste of time that the Navy went and got the legendary F-14. What about the F-4 and A-7? Great Navy Planes that the Air Force bought. Don't tell me the AF has different requirements. that's a load of horse hockey. They're just too proud to admit the Navy does it better.

I'll step off the soap box now.

The Navy does have a new fighter in the works and according to one of my nephews who is a Naval Aviator in the F/A 18 Super Hornet, it will make the 22 look like the the Wright Bros Kitty Hawk.

I once heard someone say that anyone can be a pilot and land on a concrete runway, but it takes the best to fly off and land on a carrier like naval Aviators. I once mentioned this to my nephew and he said, after laughing, that may be true, but the AF guys got it better. After they fly a mission, they get to go home to their comfy beds where he beotched when he returns from a sortie, he goes back to a nasty steel pile o smelly boat on the high seas.

The f22 isn't really a waste of money, it is a very good aircraft. they did a simulated dogfight and it took out 7 f15's. There has never been an f15 shotdown in combat. So thats a pretty good thing. It would be better if they could cut down costs on the f22. I think the more advanced navy fighter is the f-35, the vertical take off and landing version of the f-22.
