I totally understand that there are people around here that have to censor every little thing but taking the word G O D out of our posts!!! Probably the same flag burning communist ba!!!!!!s that think we should re-write the pledge of allegence. If someone does not like religious beliefs than look the other way. This country was built on them. Next thing ya know there will be people promoting same sex marrage on this site.

Hmm, more often than not its used in vain on here. I'd think editing would be nicer for religious folks...

I found that odd when I saw God edited.

The filter should make it funny when used in vain.

Common in vain phases get auto edited to.

Oh G0d = Oh Rod
G0d d@mn it = Bob darn it

You get the idea.

That being the case we should take away the "off topic" all together.

Off Topic is for anything not specifically Religious or Political.

So if you want to... talk about how you will be going to college soon, how you found a cool online game everyone can enjoy, post random thoughts, post random pics, or post funny videos of synchronized bicycling, then feel free to go to town in the "off topic" section.

Religion and Politics do not belong on this site. Period.

I particularly like that new 'your photos' thread that Tom started. Got some pretty talented people here. :D

That is a cool thread I need to get some of Taylors pics on there.

....had a great way of writing what he thought describing the Situation at the time and the impending doom (Roman Empire). Symbolism and fancy language let him describe what was going on and what he predicted was going to happen, with out him getting executed for speaking out against the Government. He analyzed and described the "Model of How an Empire Self Destructs and Fails". Since then over 2000 years ago, many Empires have failed and most of us had the opportunity to witness it happen again (Like the USSR).

Circumventing Robo Censorship is not that difficult.

If you want to read one of Paul's books the title is, "Revelation".

Here I have made my point by discussing, "History", a not forbidden topic.

Does anyone see the correlation between Model of How Empires Fail and the Business Models of some Japanese Companies?

Accounts do their job and account for the profits of the company so the shareholders don't shut them down by dumping the stock. Bean Counters (flunky want a be accounts) are those who know how to add and manipulate numbers to impress management with Spread Sheets, but are too Stupid to be trusted with any part of the Company Finances. So what Bean Counters do is try to make cuts in costs that sometimes end up costing more in the long run.
My point of the post is that fancy language can get around the ROBO Censor, just like Paul did when he ripped the Roman Empire and died of natural causes, years later.

uhm... review your history before you run your yapper  Not saying it should be changed now but it has been changed and "under Him" was added in 1954 by our Congress and signed into law by Eisenhower.

There are forums that I rarely visit now because they allow politics/religion. To many times the 'idiots' who don't share my political and moral beliefs have gotten my blood pressure up with their ignorant blabbering. Whatever political party you are in I'd rather not know it or your views. It could/would bias my opinion of you and what you say from then after.

On the matter of religion, I too often have seen people offended over someone's ignorant or misspoken comment. LOST has members in many countries, of different races, creeds, and religions. I personally believe that you should respect all religion, so your comments on G o d could easily offend a Muslim, Jew, Hindu, etc. Just like if a member had a comment in his sig on the virtues of A l l a h, a great many here would be offended. With the issue of "taking the Lords name in vain" can easily offend a hardline Catholic, Christian, or Jew.

So all in all the best way to avoid confrontation and the possibility of offending or running out any of our members is to keep with the politics or religion rule that LOST has established, and that everyone agreed to when joining this private forum.

It keeps things civil...
