I had the turbo side hose split recently. It made a lot of hissing and coated everything with oil, and of course set the CEL and made no power. I replaced them with Samco, and hopefully that's one problem I'll never have again.

The jeep is going in one more time before the SEGR mod. The service manager assures me it is the "flow control valve" causing on the prolems not the egr valve.

Contact LocoCRD. He is currently accepting payment for the kits, and if he has one not spoken for, you will be able to get it.

I have a kit built and tested by LocoCRD I'd sell, as I'll probably be selling my CRD soon and never got around to installing it. I paid him $286.13, if anyone's interested, please make me an offer.

Yep I still have some available, but for an assembled one you can't beat the deal AltE has on his.

I have an assembled one, but I do not have the wiring harness for it. I pulled it out when I went to trade off for my GC CRD. You can ask UFO how much another harness would be and I can sell you mine. UFO built mine and it worked flawlessly for about 10k miles before I pulled it. Lets say $150 plus shipping. If not no big deal, up to you.

Installing a SEGR, just wondering if I will still need the ORM? Seems it would be redundant since they both accomplish the same thing, or does the ORM do more?

The SEGR is the way to do the ORM with no CEL. The ORM may let the EGR open some of the time but I know for a fact the SEGR keeps the EGR closed at all times. Hope this helps.

Will the segr keep it closed with out the orm? Could I just use the segr and disconect the hose from the egr? On my vw tdi, I got rid of the EGR totally, and used vag to twist the MAF, until actual values matched requested value, no more CEL. I was hoping to do this on the jeep, but I cant scan it like the vag does for the tdi.

You don't have to disconnect anything. Just install the SEGR and the EGR is completely disabled.

Great, that is the answer I was looking for.

Thanks

Does the SEGR also disable the anti shudder valve?

Yes, while the transmission is not in Park or Neutral. It works as designed to shut the engine down smoothly, but is held open during driving.

So, if I put the jeep in park, and turn off the key, the anti shudder valve will not close the intake, but if I do the same in D or R it will??
