OME HD's up front as the MD have sagged quite a bit

OME HD's at the rear with some TJ 10mm packers

soon to be replaced with custom rear coils for the extra weight of the RL Dual carrier rear bar

Sounds good - I'd like to hear about the RL bumper and bits when you get them fitted. When I'm back to work, that is something I'm thinking about - I'm just not sure if the tyre and can carriers will obstruct the rear lights.

What are the advantages of these compared to the RSX's? I'm curious how much of the ride you can change with em.

from the rancho website, i was curious to see how well they worked as a few mates have them on thier TJ's

RS9000XL shock features a manually-tuned valve system that allows the driver complete control of the softness or firmness of the piston movement. This provides the broadest range of comfort and control across the driving spectrum from street to extreme off-road. Ride quality can be set soft for highway driving, medium for city/urban driving, and firm for off-road driving and even towing. There are nine possible settings so a quality ride can be had by even the pickiest driver (or their passengers). In addition to manual tuning, an auxiliary remote control unit is available that allows the shocks to be adjusted at the touch of a button while the vehicle is parked or in motion

Wow, sounds pretty awesome. I want some front struts then. Replace my rough as hell stock ones.

If the struts are the same as the shocks the knob itself doesn't come off, but the entire adjustment plate that you can swap out for the remote control system does. Good to get some practice now, since if you like to play on the rocks it's only a matter of time before you break a know on a rear shock!

I always thought Ranchos were a bit gimmicky, until I bought a set with a used lift. I was absolutely amazed at the difference they made, and I've always used good shocks. Can't wait to hear how they work out on the Libby.

Thats the same combo I have for 10 months, with a Daystar lift, very good and very satisfied with it, the struts came with the knob off, and you have to install the struts and only after then you have to put the knob. I would like to get the OMEs and cut the daystar to make my own frankenlift., may be next year.

This is exactly what I wanted to fit to my KJ but seems it hasn't been done in Australia (could well be wrong there).
Thanks heaps for confirming what I thouught I could do! I just couldn't see why it wouldn't be the best system for my needs.
& the in cab controller mmmmmhh!
Cheers

you wont buy the rear shocks in australia as we dont have the durango imported here

in fact i got all 4 delivered from the states in 3 days for under what it would cost to buy 2 struts from the RANCHO suppliers in Sydney

no the adjuster comes off for installing on the clevis, when everything is back together thats when you reinstall the adjuster, i have a 6mm prado front packer as a small clevis lift on the front , you shouldnt have any issues with the settings, you dont need to order the myride its just easier that getting under the truck to manually set them

So I have, or had, Rancho 9000's on my libby. I bought new OME 790's to replace the 927's that came on it. I removed the strut assembly and took it to a parts place to have the springs changed. They called me shortly after to inform me the struts were shot. So now I am having to replace them as well. Problem is, that I can't seem to find the correct ones. Or maybe I can and am just not understanding something. My struts that came off look like this.

And the only ones I can find to order look like this...

It says this is the one for the front but the picture isn't what I have. Is it just a generic picture or am I going to have to have them modified to work?
