Already posted this in general but figured I would post here to!

well a few months ago I had the abs light come on and lost the odo, checked on the forum and said it is normally the rear sensor in the diff... checked it the wires were broken at the connector. got a new connector and wired it back on, FIXed.
few months later, ABS light back on.. I figured it wasn't the one I just fixed so I went ahead and attempted to pull the LF wheel speed sensor to check it out. It was stuck in the hub, I put some penetrating oil on it and attempted to slowly work it out, it broke. None of the local part stores can get the sensor, so I had the dealer order it. Just put the new sensor in, the light is still on, and when the new sensor is plugged in the abs activates on even light brake applies. This thing is driving me nuts, again, never ending liberty problems. So I unplugged the bran new sensor and the ABS stops activating all the time but yeah I still don't have any abs, and the darn light is still on. The last thing I want to do is take it to the dealer, but my cheaper OBDII scanner can't tell me what/where the problem is.
If there is someone near me (lower MI 48117) that has a AE scanner or even on that will get into the abs sensor that can help me out, I'll buy the beer!

I really want my girlfriend to have abs when it starts snowing! thanks.

Then it is the rear diff sensor not working.

If so I would go back to the sensor (probably the plug or cable join) on the rear diff. I know you have already "fixed" this but I have just had the same problem. I lost the odometer and the EVIC functions.

I'd be happy to help you take a look at it. I work in Auburn Hills and live outside Pontiac, but would be willing to meet you somewhere that works for you. Probably early next week is best for me if that works.

NOT always, my fronts abs sensoor wires rubbed thru on the rims and my Odometer didn't work, check the fronts as well.

Well I called a local shop that was able to get into the jeeps system when it had the large wiring harness behind/under the alternator rubbed into and he did some nice work fixing that. He is super busy, I guess he is known to be one of the best drive ability guys around. He doesn't even have a sign on the front of his building and he stays super busy, he can look at it but it's going to be hard to find a time that works for him and I seeing as my girl is driving the jeep full time now.
Mrmopar, if you think you can get into the abs that would be great. I'm not sure where we could meet but I visit my mom a lot on the weekend and she lives at 15mile and inkster area so Pontiac isn't too far from there. Maybe we can work something out.

I was really hopeing the LF would fix it but it almost seems worse, as if it's not the right sensor or the tone ring is screwed up. I bought the sensor from the dealer so I don't see why it would be any different. I don't mind working on my cars, but stuff like this is a pain, I Need the AE deal if I'm going to keep the CRD!!! Ha
