Looking at the install for the JBA Arms you need to cut some of the pocket out. How much on the top and bottom need to come out and what should i use to cut as its metal that needs to be cut? Thanks In Advance

No need to cut the pocket... if you do, you will have major issues. The latest version of the JBA arms were fixed because the first ones were making contact with the pocket

Perfect. Thanks

Mike08Liberty,

What is needed to accompany the Rock Krawler kit to reduce failure of the suspension components (shocks, A-Arms, bumpstops, etc.)?

Kev
New bolts for the kit since RK does not like to supply even grade 5 bolts most of the time.

All they recommend is extended rear shocks but that's going to apply with any "spacer/budget" lift kit. I'm still running stock a-arms and bump stops.

Some have questioned the the supplied bolts but I've beat the pi$$ out my KK with the RK kit and haven't had any issues.

So Grade 8 bolts, BDS Rear Shocks and a set of Terraflex bumpstops should do the trick for the Rock Krawler Kit? Does anyone know the size of the bolts that need replacing on the Rock Krawler Kit?

What does the A-arm position look like with the Rock Krawler?

What are the advantages and disadvantages between the Rock Krawler and the Daystar?

Once again thanks for the info guys.

Kev

The difference in the two kits is in the front. The RK kit uses longer strut forks and the DS kit uses a spring spacer. The problem with the DS kit is that it adds more wear to the front shock because it has to travel more due to the spring spacer. Also to do that install you will need to remove the whole front strut assembly and take it apart.

With the RK kit you don't have to remove anything. You will actually be disconnecting some of the same components that are needed to remove the strut assembly except you won't have to remove it.

The rear is going to be the same on both kits, a 2" poly spacer.

Here is my RK install write up
