More Air ;more work on the Grill

Has anyone removed the blocked slots on teh gril on teh Far left side?

In hope of having more Air going into the Air intake tube?

I am bad and did not search on this.
So if you did it how did it come out?>

Not that I know of.....If you want more air, you need to enlarge the intake tube to the air filter box............

My ride is a Nitro and this is what I did to get more air. I added a RAM air intake. Maybe you could do something similar to your ride.
The nice thing is I can cap it for water crossings if I need to, and with the stock intake still in place I am less likely to get hydro locked.
Also with it installed at the bottom of the air box, any water that gets in, has a way to get out.

I know the front grill set up is different, but maybe someone could adapt the idea? Maybe even a snorkel of some kind? :shock:

hey scar did youever think of spraying t hat PVC black in order to make it look stock... i mean its tucked behind but you could still kinda see it... if it was black it would almost look like it was OEM... also i believe on our stock air boxes there is a tube that sorta does what you did scar... but it isnt directly linked to the outside... maybe you do use that piece?

PVC does not come in 3" black(unless special ordered), only 2" & 4". PVC doesn't paint well, So white it is. The tube to the front is black. Just with the flash it looks white.

The stock intake is still there as I stated above. So the rig is less likely to hydro lock.
