Hi,

I recently bought a used 06 Liberty CRD Sport in the color Black. I know this vehicle comes from Maryland, does any one know a member that owned a vehicle of this description? I would like to contact them for some history.

TIA Bob

Your best bet is to visit your local dealership, make VERY nice with a service guy (bring a box of donuts or something) and give him the last 8 of the VIN while asking for a printout of the VIP so you can see what recalls / work has been done to the CRD. With any luck he will just hand you all the pages, and the first page will have your info and a box that says "Previous owner" which you can then google for the info. If you are REALLY lucky, the owner info hasn't been updated yet, so you will get the address and phone number for the prior guy.

I am not really concerned about recalls, and dealer stuff. There is something about this CRD, it seems to have awesome throttle response, and I am not able to get any shudder out of it, at 55 to 60 mph? This thing seems to really accelerate fast. I was wondering if it had any after market mods done to it?

Lucky you. Its possible that the performance is just b/c the truck wasn't neutered by Mopar too. That is another reason to get the VIP report, besides the validation for any warranty period you might have. TRUST ME when I tell you this, dated hard copy in your hand is MUCH better to have than relying on their computer system for warranty validation.

The sensors might all be working as they should too, maybe the guy cleaned the MAP frequently. Some inspections under the hood might tell you faster than trying to find the previous owner.
